Development and Maintenance of SATCOM Monitoring Software

Responsible for developing and refactoring monitoring software for SATCOM stations at Actia Telecom.

Managed and supported various deliveries and configurations across multiple SATCOM projects.

Implemented productivity-enhancing tools and supported the Java development team with architectural design, best practices, and solution proposals.

Project Highlights

1. Overhauled HMIs to unify graphical interfaces using a custom HMI library and developed new graphic widgets.
2. Led configuration setup for NATO's EAC project, involving 24 computers, 100 software instances, and 400 equipment units per station, integrating protocols for monitoring and control.
3. Supported other projects through technical oversight and outsourced development integration.
4. Analyzed and improved software procedures, reducing task durations from weeks to days by creating Java tools and libraries.
5. Documented procedures in an internal wiki to facilitate onboarding and knowledge sharing.
6. Assisted development teams in progressing their projects, including estimating and designing a cartographic Java module.
