Our facility in Billerica, Massachusetts, designs and manufactures advanced photonics products based on MEMS and other micro-scale optical devices. We are seeking a High Voltage Power - Assembly Technician who will be responsible for assembling and repairing High Voltage Power Supplies in a production environment. Main responsibilities are described below.

Responsibilities

• Performs electro-mechanical operations on printed circuit boards, subassemblies, and complete assembly of high voltage power supplies.
• Performs various rework/repair operations on production systems as well as service units.
• Supports manufacturing objectives and adheres to process specifications and work instructions.
• Reads and interprets assembly prints, process specifications and other work instructions.
• Uses soldering, wire cutting, stripping, and crimping techniques; utilizes hand tools and semi-automatic equipment.
• Maintains strong organizational skills and basic computer skills.
• Meets throughput requirements on a daily basis and adheres to gowning/PPE requirements in a controlled environment (finger cots, gloves, ESD smocks, safety shoes, safety glasses).
• May work overtime as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2–5 years electromechanical assembly experience or equivalent.
• Solder certified to IPC A-610 and/or J-STD-001.
• Ability to clearly read and interpret all work instructions.
• Strong organizational skills, computer skills, and experience with Windows/MS Office.
• Ability to sit or stand for at least 8 hours a day; respect lifting requirements (up to 25 lbs, occasional up to 50 lbs).
• Ability to walk relevant production areas to transport parts and assemblies.
• Ability to adhere to gowning requirements and COVID prevention protocol.
• Familiarity with encapsulation, media blasting, oil processing and filling, and specialized soldering techniques for high voltage applications is a plus.

Compensation

Compensation Pay Range: $26 - $30 per hour, depending on experience.

This position requires the use of information which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
