Healthcare Administration and Revenue-Cycle Evaluation
Examine healthcare administration decisions using the practical rules of your own provider or payer setting. Review coding, prior authorization, utilization, claims and revenue-cycle workflows; explain documentation and policy dependencies, identify operational mistakes and turn difficult cases into clear evaluation examples.
Practice scope
This is a nonclinical back-office role. Clinical practitioners, medical technicians, reception or scheduling staff, script-only call-center workers, scribes and transcription-only backgrounds are outside this scope.
Professional background
You must currently work in healthcare administration and bring at least two recent years of hands‑on back‑office experience. Plan for ten or more hours weekly. You should know the systems used in your function: payer portals such as Availity or Waystar, practice‑management/EHR systems, coding tools or claim clearinghouses.
Relevant settings
Relevant settings extend beyond hospitals to outpatient groups, surgery centers, long‑term care, home care, behavioral health, pharmacy, dialysis, infusion, DME, FQHCs, disability services, payers, TPAs and revenue-cycle providers. Senior ownership of appeals, disputed codes, audits, implementations, staff or operating procedures is preferred over routine volume processing. Experience spanning care settings or both payer and provider operations is especially useful. Clinical care, technical medical services, front‑desk registration or scheduling, scripted calls, scribing and transcription alone are outside this administrative profile.
Working arrangements
This is remote, paid IXO expert work. Agree the specific task brief, permitted materials, outputs and working schedule with IXO before starting. Any commitment or duration described in a practice profile is an indicative planning requirement for that route, subject to that agreement.
Pay
$55 - $70/hr USD. The applicable rate is agreed for the work and professional track before you begin.
