Responsibilities

• Drive the Dermatology R&D portfolio from discovery through early clinical development, aligned with the overall R&D strategy.
• Report to the Head of Translational Research; lead dermatology clinical development programs from First-in-Human through Phase II to advance and expand the portfolio.
• Oversee the design, execution, and evaluation of dermatology clinical trials by leading cross-functional teams and integrating the required expertise.
• Assess external opportunities, including assets, partnerships, and technologies, to support business development and licensing decisions.
• May manage, coach, and develop Dermatology Project Leaders and contribute to building a strong dermatology R&D community.
• Promote alignment across discovery, translational research, and clinical development to enable biomarker-driven, mechanism-based plans.
• Collaborate across matrix structures and with external partners to secure the right expertise efficiently.
• Produce high-quality deliverables that support data-driven decisions and effective prioritization of projects and resources in line with R&D strategy.

Qualifications & Experience

• MD or MD/PhD with deep expertise in Dermatology and Immunology and at least 10 years of drug development experience in pharma or biotech.
• Strong record of scientific excellence and successful drug development, with demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop high-performing teams.
• Experience developing targeted therapies in immuno-dermatology, with a strong understanding of the translational components needed for trial execution.
• Solid knowledge of regulatory requirements across development phases and regions to support global development and registration.
• Collaborative, open-minded, entrepreneurial, agile, and pragmatic, with the ability to deliver in a competitive environment.
• Proven ability to lead, coach, and develop people effectively.
