A leading non‑profit healthcare institution specializing in mental health is seeking a Head Physician for its Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Department (PEA).
This is a strategic leadership position combining clinical expertise, medical coordination, team management, and institutional involvement within a well‑established, multidisciplinary mental health department.
Your Mission
- Overall medical organization and operations of the department
- Development and implementation of the medical strategy
- Coordination of care pathways across ambulatory and inpatient services
- Supervision and distribution of medical and paramedical missions
- Active participation in institutional governance and medical committees
Clinical & Leadership Activities
- Clinical activity (consultations, supervision, coordination)
- Team leadership (child psychiatrists, physicians, interns)
- Quality & patient safety initiatives
- Research, training, and innovative care projects
The Department Includes
- Ambulatory units (CMP, adolescent units, mobile crisis teams, early intervention units)
- Inpatient full‑time units (16 beds + day places)
- Day hospitals for children and adolescents
You will work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team including psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, educators, teachers, speech therapists, psychomotor therapists, and other specialists, all centered around child‑ and family‑focused care.
Required Qualifications
- Medical Degree (Doctor of Medicine)
- Specialization in Psychiatry or Child & Adolescent Psychiatry (DES or equivalent)
- Mandatory registration with the French Medical Council (Ordre des Médecins)
- Proven experience in child psychiatry
- Prior coordination or management experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of hygiene and safety regulations
- Proficiency in IT tools relevant to medical practice
Important
- EVC (Equivalence of Validation of Competencies) required for foreign‑trained physicians
- Candidates must already have the right to work in France (no work authorization procedures possible)
- Notice periods can be managed
- Secondment (détachement) possible
