My client, a French scale-up and leader in secure communications and sovereign cybersecurity (video conferencing + messaging + webinars + document sharing with end-to-end encryption — deployed at major customers in sensitive sectors: energy, defence, public sector, banking, healthcare, space), is recruiting its Head of Solutions Engineering .

Your missions

  • Pre-sales & customer relationship : lead technical discussions with CIOs, CISOs and infrastructure teams; tackle complex topics (UC&C architecture, security, performance); participate in defence pitches and RFPs (defence, public sector, sensitive industries)
  • Architecture & UC&C expertise : explain and adapt architectures (on-premise, airgap, private cloud, hybrid); challenge customer technical choices; benchmark in depth against Webex / Teams / Zoom stacks; propose robust, secure and scalable architectures
  • Cybersecurity : defend E2EE design choices (Curve25519, AES-256, HMAC-SHA-256), key management and sovereignty; respond to security requirements (audits, compliance, CISO scrutiny); credible in sensitive environments
  • Delivery & customer enablement : secure strategic deployments; ensure customer technical understanding; anticipate and defuse technical risks
  • Structuring the function : formalise architectures and technical narratives; standardise responses and best practices; build a Solutions Engineering team over time
  • UC&C — essential expertise : Cisco Webex (Call Manager, CUBE, Expressway), Microsoft Teams (Teams Phone, Direct Routing, SBC, M365 architecture), Zoom (Zoom Phone, Zoom Rooms, Workspaces). Ability to deeply compare the three and position a sovereign alternative.
  • Networking : UDP, NAT, firewall, QoS, MPLS, SD-WAN

The profile

  • 7 to 15+ years of experience — Solutions Architect, Senior Pre-sales, Infrastructure Architect or DevOps Lead with client-facing exposure
  • Recognised Unified Communications expert : you have already architected, deployed or pre-sold Cisco Webex / Microsoft Teams / Zoom at enterprise scale
  • CISO credibility : able to hold a technical conversation with a CISO on E2EE, PKI, IAM, key management and threat models
  • Soft skills : ability to simplify complex topics, clarity and impact, natural leadership in meetings, composure under high-pressure environments
  • Senior, hands-on, builder posture — you build the Solutions Engineering function alongside running pre-sales
