About The Role
The Head of Package for the FBL Cluster (France, Belgium, Luxembourg) will develop and execute the product line strategy in accordance with the Package Global product strategy, underwriting framework and pricing guardrails. This role will have accountability for talent management and overall responsibility for FBL Product P&L. The role also includes accountability for the overall SME Segment, while the product P&L will be owned by the products, mainly Financial Lines, P&L measurement with a strong focus on growing the segment will be a key part of the role’s responsibilities. This will include the SME Segment Strategic Plan for France which needs to be developed & finalised. Head of Package FBL will be responsible for the leadership and management of all aspects of AIG’s FBL Package business with accountability for go‑to‑market effectiveness and efficiency, product, underwriting and risk control, and implementation of best practices. The SME segment leader will be responsible for ensuring we have a stable FLOW platform which is fit for purpose for the market in France across all lines of business and work closely with the product owners to build and grow the business as part of the SME Segment Strategic Plan for France.
Key Accountabilities
- Lead the FBL Package business & France SME Segment to deliver planned operating and financial results
- Drive the definition and execution of growth and profitability strategy for the Package Business & SME Segment business
- Responsible for the achievement of financial targets for revenue, profit, and growth: NPW growth, Combined Ratio, loss Ratio, Acquisition ratio, and Expenses; Underwriting Profit, New business, and Retention
- Lead channel, product, and market expansion
- Recruit and develop country resources and functional leads
- Ensure regulatory and legal compliance across the Package & SME segment operation
Move The Organization Forward Via Direct and Functional Reports
- Establish and leverage strong relationships with Regional and Country leadership including relevant product owners for the SME segment
- Collaborate with the product owners to ensure we are able to deliver on the SME Segment Strategic Plan for France
- Collaborate with technical and functional departments across the wider business
- Provide oversight for large projects and initiatives, mainly around the FLOW platform
- Work with HR and function teams to develop top distribution, product, underwriting and functional talent
- Drive a culture that promotes results, collaboration, diversity and inclusion
- Coordinate with the regional/country actuaries to assure timely rate reviews, ongoing pricing, and segmentation initiatives
Execute Package Plans and Strategies Across Local Markets (France, Belgium, and Luxembourg) and the overall SME Strategic Plan for France

- Sales and New Business:
- develop and strengthen major distribution partnerships on Package and SME Segment (non‑Package) Business
- build partnerships / individual distribution framework
- Operations: foster efficiency across all distribution channels / segments (including SME, and Partnerships business)
- Product development to ensure alignment with AIG appetite and the product areas on selected segments and market / client needs
Provide Appropriate Tools and Infrastructure To Govern Business
- Library of existing coverages and products
- Tools to ensure the portfolio management and to model, execute and track renewals and new business
- Use of raters at cluster and local level
- Pipeline, activity and workflow management
- Actuarial support and analysis to support portfolio reviews
- Underwriting authorities, audit schedules
- Compliance and legal framework
