Head of SAP AMS

Head of SAP AMS - French speaking - France (Choose from Multiple Office Locations) - 50% remote working. Start Date: Flexible from January 2026 onwards. Permanent Job. Salary: Competitive Salary plus Benefits.

Our client, an SAP Partner, is looking for a Head of SAP AMS to lead the Application Support team, which is responsible for their Third-Party Application Maintenance (TMA) and Publisher Maintenance activities. You will cover all client SAP application areas for corrective and evolutionary maintenance.

The teams currently support more than 70 active clients for 60 TMA contracts, 20 outsourcing contracts, and 45 publisher maintenance contracts.

The client portfolio includes on the way to 200 leading French SAP end clients covering Banking, Insurance, Retail, Wholesale, Engineering, Life sciences, Construction, Aerospace and many others.

Main responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of Application Support and the quality of the services provided, in accordance with contractual commitments.
• You will have considerable decision-making latitude and resources at your disposal to ensure and guarantee service quality, in accordance with the SAP roadmap and current best practices.
• With the support of your line manager, the SAP CSM (SAP Support and Maintenance Center) Director, you will play a key role in the smooth
• running of your team, both in terms of human resources and the operational management of resources and delivery.
• You will work to develop the Application Support business with your team for major SAP accounts, potentially internationally, while ensuring a high level of quality for the installed base.
• You will be a source of ideas for improving and developing CSM and will put your experience at the service of your team.
• Finally, you will participate in weekly steering meetings with other division managers, thereby contributing to the optimization of staffing and operational planning.

Experience needed:

• Experience as an Operations Manager for a team/SAP offering
• Experience in an SAP environment for major accounts, ideally in TMA/AMS
• Experience in pre-sales (including public procurement)
• Good cross-functional knowledge of SAP products and roadmaps
• Experience in SAP implementation projects desirable
• Professional/technical English & French
