Head of Quality Engineering Strategy F/M
ENTER THE GAME
Software quality is a strategic lever at Betclic.
As Head of Quality Engineering Strategy, you will report to the Head of Developer Experience and will be responsible for defining, leading, and continuously improving Betclic’s testing and software quality strategy across the Engineering organization.
You will combine strategic vision, hands‑on technical expertise, and team leadership to make quality a competitive advantage for Betclic. Your mission will be to define a clear vision for AI‑augmented quality, translate it into concrete practices for engineering teams, and influence Quality Engineers, developers, technical leaders, and product stakeholders around measurable outcomes.
Leading a dedicated team, you will guide development teams toward a model where quality is fully embedded in engineering practices, measurable, automated, and collectively owned.
YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC
AI‑Augmented Quality Strategy
- Identify the most relevant GenAI use cases to improve the efficiency, coverage, and reliability of testing practices
- Integrate DevX AI agents into testing workflows: automated test coverage review, missing scenario suggestions, anomaly detection, and test design support
- Define quality standards for AI‑generated or AI‑assisted code, covering validation, security, reliability, maintainability, and alignment with engineering practices
- Measure the impact of AI on quality metrics such as coverage, detection time, regression rate, manual effort, velocity, and production reliability
- Experiment, industrialize, and scale AI‑augmented testing practices across Engineering teams
Metrics, Transformation & Strategic Leadership
- Define, lead, and deploy Betclic’s QA / Quality Engineering strategy, ensuring practices deliver measurable results
- Establish and monitor key quality indicators to measure the impact of QA initiatives and drive accountability within teams
- Define productivity and development quality indicators, including DORA metrics, regressions, release stability, and production reliability
- Present quality strategy, results, and trade‑offs to executive stakeholders
- Support teams in adopting common standards while considering the diversity of technical contexts: web, mobile, backend, data, and platform
- Evolve Betclic’s quality culture toward a model where quality is collectively owned by Engineering teams, not only by QA Engineers
Hands‑on Quality Engineering & Field Influence
- Bring concrete expertise on testing strategies: test pyramid, test automation, contract testing, end‑to‑end testing, performance testing, non‑regression, and shift‑left testing
- Contribute to the definition of testing patterns, guidelines, and standards that teams can use in their daily work
- Audit existing practices, identify gaps, and propose realistic improvement paths
- Help teams make the right trade‑offs between quality, time‑to‑market, technical debt, and acceptable risk levels
- Support the maturity growth of testing practices across teams through communities, existing guilds, coaching, standards, and tooling
- Be technically credible in discussions with testers, developers, architects, and platform teams, without necessarily being the main day‑to‑day contributor
Management
- Lead and support a team of quality experts, ensuring their skills development and professional growth
- Recruit and onboard new talents aligned with the vision of AI‑augmented quality
- Ensure an efficient agile working framework: rituals, prioritization, continuous delivery, demos, and retrospectives
- Work closely with the Head of Developer Experience to define and follow a roadmap based on prioritization, impact analysis, and KPIs
