Head of Quality Control (Directeur/Directrice du Contrôle Qualité)

I am exclusively supporting a growing biotech in the Advanced Therapies space as they look to appoint a Head of Quality Control to take full ownership of their QC function

This is a senior leadership role with end-to-end responsibility across QC strategy, external partners, and ensuring high-quality delivery across clinical-stage programmes.

The role:

• Full oversight of Quality Control activities across development and clinical supply
• Own QC strategy, ensuring alignment with GMP and regulatory expectations
• Lead and manage CDMOs/CROs, ensuring quality of data, timelines, and delivery
• Oversee deviations, investigations, and continuous improvement of QC processes
• Drive method lifecycle activities including method transfer, validation, and stability programmes
• Act as the key QC interface across CMC, Manufacturing, MSAT and Regulatory teams
• Build and develop QC capability as the organisation continues to grow

What they’re looking for:

• Strong QC leadership experience (Director level or stepping into Head of)
• Background in ATMPs, ideally gene therapy (AAV preferred, LV also relevant)
• Experience with tech transfer, method transfer, validation, and stability
• Strong understanding of working with CDMOs and managing external testing
• Experience with cell-based and molecular assays (e.g. qPCR, ELISA)
• Comfortable operating within a fast-paced, scaling biotech environment
• French language skills are highly desirable
