The QHSE (Quality,Health, Safety & Environment) function is a key pillar of the organization. It plays a vital role in ensuring product quality, occupational safety, employee health, and environmental compliance while supporting the sustainable development of the entire production site. Head of QHSE (m/f/d)
with overall responsibility for the production site in Northern France.
Your Responsibilities
- You assume full responsibility for the Quality, Safety, Health & Environment functions and drive their strategic and operational development.
- Together with your team of approximately six employees, you foster a sustainable QSHE culture while promoting a strong safety, quality, and environmental mindset throughout the organization.
- You ensure compliance with all applicable legal requirements, international standards, and internal policies, particularly ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 4501.
- With a strategic and forward-thinking approach, you develop and implement the local QSHE strategy in alignment with the company's overall business objectives.
- You oversee and continuously improve the integrated management system while optimizing QSHE-related processes across the entire value chain.
- Together with your team, you plan, coordinate, and support internal and external audits, including customer, certification, and regulatory audits.
- You analyze quality, safety, health, and environmental performance indicators, derive sustainable improvement measures, and ensure their effective implementation.
- You take ownership of complaint management, root cause analyses, and the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.
- You ensure compliance with all environmental regulations while continuously improving the site's environmental and energy performance.
- Furthermore, you lead investment and continuous improvement projects within the QSHE environment and act as a trusted advisor to all functional areas on quality, safety, health, and environmental matters.
- By applying modern methodologies such as Lean Management, Continuous Improvement (CI), and Six Sigma, you establish and strengthen a culture of operational excellence.
- Reporting directly to the Plant Manager, you actively contribute your expertise to strategic and cross-functional initiatives, playing a key role in the long-term success and development of the site.
Your Profile
- The foundation for your success is a university degree in Engineering, Quality Management, Environmental Engineering, Occupational Safety, or a comparable technical discipline.
- You have a proven track record of several years of leadership experience within a QSHE function in a manufacturing environment.
- You possess in-depth knowledge of management systems according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 4501, as well as extensive experience with customer, supplier, certification, and regulatory audits.
- You are well-versed in modern quality methodologies such as 8D, FMEA, SPC, MSA, APQP, and Six Sigma.
- Strong analytical capabilities, strategic thinking, and a pragmatic, solution-oriented approach characterize your way of working.
- Your leadership style is defined by initiative, excellent communication skills, and a passion for developing both people and organizations while successfully driving change.
- You are fluent in English. Good French language skills are already in place or you are willing to acquire them within a short period.
