Head of Public Affairs – Economics & Digital
As a Head of Public Affairs – Economics & Digital, you will join the Public Affairs team, whose mission is to secure and shape Betclic’s economic and fiscal environment across its key markets. At the intersection of tax policy, economic strategy and public affairs, you will structure robust, evidence‑based positions and develop a coherent doctrine deployed across markets. You will contribute to shaping Betclic’s positioning with public authorities and institutional stakeholders, while ensuring strong alignment at the Group level.
Responsibilities
- Economic & Fiscal Strategy / Advocacy Leadership
- Own key economic and tax topics at Group level (tax framework, EU developments, regulatory and budgetary reforms)
- Define and drive Betclic’s positions on taxation, economic contribution and regulatory evolution
- Produce high‑impact advocacy materials (economic analyses, tax briefs, position papers, executive notes)
- Build and maintain a structured economic data room
- Cross‑Market Coordination & Group Alignment
- Act as Group referent on economic and tax matters (in coordination with Finance & Tax teams)
- Support and challenge local Public Affairs teams
- Ensure alignment of narratives and argumentation across markets
- Lead coordination on sensitive or high‑stakes topics
- Collaborate with all Group functions
- Stakeholder Influence & Territorial Anchoring
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders (public authorities, economic actors, industry bodies)
- Strengthen Betclic’s integration within the institutional digital ecosystem and expand the Group’s participation in strategic economic networks
- Strengthen Betclic’s economic narrative (public finances, employment, local impact)
- Identify opportunities to reinforce the Group’s legitimacy in its territories
- High‑Level Representation & Advocacy Delivery
- Contribute to institutional meetings and strategic engagements
- Prepare internal stakeholders with data‑driven materials
- Actively participate in defending the Group’s economic and fiscal positions
- Develop the European dimension of the Group’s Public Affairs strategy on economic and tax‑related matters, including advocacy and representation activities with the European Parliament, the European Commission, and Brussels‑based stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Approximately 10 years of experience in public affairs, economic policy or related fields
- Background in political science, law, economics or public affairs
- Strong interest in tax and economic topics
- Ability to analyze complex frameworks and contribute to strategic discussions
- Comfortable engaging with institutional stakeholders
- Experience working in regulated environments
- Comfortable with market analysis and economic topics
- Interest in territorial and ecosystem dynamics
- Analytical, structured and able to simplify complex topics
- Fluent in English
