Allianz Partners is seeking a globally-minded pricing leader to architect the future of RSA (Roadside Asisstance) pricing. This is a strategic, high-visibility role combining deep technical pricing expertise with innovation leadership to drive profitable growth across RSA Lines of Business worldwide.
Working hand-in-hand with a dedicated RSA Data team that owns reporting and harmonized portfolio monitoring, your mandate is squarely focused on pricing intelligence: building state-of-the-art rating engines, advancing modelling techniques, connecting external data ecosystems, and setting the technical direction for how Allianz Partners prices RSA risk globally.
What you will do
PRICING STRATEGY & MARKET POSITIONING
- Define and own the global pricing strategy for all RSA products, translating portfolio intelligence and market dynamics into competitive, technically sound tariffs across all geographies.
- Conduct rigorous technical competitor analysis (benchmarking RSA rate levels, product structures, and pricing tools against market peers) to sharpen price-to-market positioning.
- Collaborate with Regional Underwriting & Portfolio Management teams to ensure pricing strategy is aligned with underwriting appetite, profitability targets, and commercial objectives.
- Support the planning process and RSA Smart Circle Meetings: contribute the pricing perspective to 360-degree quarterly reviews for top B-Partners, translating technical outputs into forward-looking commercial narratives.
- Drive profitable growth by identifying under- and over-priced segments, recommending corrective pricing actions, and monitoring their impact on portfolio KPIs.
RATING ENGINE DEVELOPMENT & ADVANCED MODELLING
- Lead the end-to-end design and evolution of RSA rating engines using WTW Radar, Emblem, and comparable actuarial platforms, ensuring models are robust, scalable, and regulator-ready.
- Apply advanced statistical and machine-learning techniques (GLMs, GBMs, Random Forests, neural networks, and clustering methods) to frequency/severity modelling, risk segmentation, and rate relativities.
- Implement profit testing frameworks to validate tariff adequacy across the full P&L, including claims, expenses, reinsurance costs, and required margin.
- Ensure all rating models are version-controlled, documented, and peer-reviewed, maintaining a high standard of actuarial governance across global markets.
EXTERNAL DATA, CONNECTED PLATFORMS & ECOSYSTEM INNOVATION
- Identify, evaluate, and integrate external data sources (telematics, geo-spatial and climate risk data, socio-demographic datasets, medical cost indices, and third-party claims benchmarks) to enrich RSA pricing models.
- Explore and assess AI-driven pricing ecosystems and next-generation actuarial platforms developing a prioritised technology roadmap for RSA pricing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the RSA Data team to define data requirements and ensure pricing-relevant data pipelines are fit-for-purpose, timely, and of sufficient granularity for advanced modelling.
- Champion the use of open-source and cloud-native modelling tools (Python, R, cloud ML platforms) alongside vendor solutions, building a flexible and future-proof pricing tech stack.
- Evaluate connected insurance concepts (IoT, real-time risk scoring, and embedded pricing APIs) and assess their applicability within the RSA product and distribution landscape.
TARIFF IMPLEMENTATION & PRICING GOVERNANCE
- Manage the full tariff lifecycle: data collection and harmonisation, actuarial modelling, final rate preparation, system testing, and sign-off, ensuring consistent implementation across all available pricing tools and markets.
- Define pricing governance standards, model validation protocols, and change management processes to ensure pricing decisions are transparent, reproducible, and commercially justified.
- Establish a global tariff review calendar aligned with portfolio performance cycles and market conditions, enabling proactive rather than reactive pricing management.
- Work with IT, Operations, and regional teams to ensure seamless deployment of updated rates into policy administration and quoting systems.
TEAM LEADERSHIP & CAPABILITY BUILDING
- Lead, inspire, and grow a team of pricing professionals across global markets, setting clear objectives, providing structured feedback, and creating pathways for professional development.
- Build internal capability in advanced modelling techniques, external data utilisation, and pricing technology tools running knowledge-sharing sessions and supporting technical upskilling.
- Foster a high-performance pricing culture grounded in analytical rigour, intellectual curiosity, commercial awareness, and a drive for continuous innovation.
- Identify and develop talent within the team; support succession planning aligned with Allianz Partners' people strategy and the RSA pricing function's long-term growth.
What you will bring
Experience & Background
- 10+ years in pricing, actuarial, or underwriting roles with deep expertise in P&C or assistance/travel insurance pricing.
- Minimum 3 years leading a pricing function, with direct management of international teams of 5+ FTEs.
- Proven hands-on experience building and deploying rating engines using WTW Radar, Emblem, or comparable GLM/ML actuarial platforms.
- Demonstrated track record integrating external data sources and third-party platforms into pricing models in a production environment.
- Experience presenting pricing strategy and modelling outcomes to CRO
