Head of Operations – MCS

The Head of Operations – MCS will be responsible for driving operational excellence, governance, and performance across all MCS activities in France. This role ensures alignment with the global MCS strategy and operating model, proactively manages risk across pre‑sales and project execution phases, delivers efficient delivery, complies with regulatory standards (including defense sector requirements), and optimises resource utilisation to support sustainable growth and delivery excellence.

Key Accountabilities

• Operational Leadership & Execution
• Lead and manage end‑to‑end MCS operations in France across all SBUs
• Ensure implementation of global MCS processes, tools, and controls at country level
• Manage the MCS Operations teams, set targets, and evaluate performance
• Drive execution discipline and operational efficiency with measurable business impact
• Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and delivery excellence
• Risk Management in MCS Projects
• Identify projects requiring performance improvements and facilitate contract reviews and bid approvals
• Support and optimise MCS P&L performance at country level
• Drive cost efficiency and ensure alignment between operational delivery and business strategy
• Enable profitable growth through operational excellence and delivery reliability
• Governance, Quality & Compliance
• Ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements in the French defense/public sector environment and with security, quality, and certification standards
• Oversee Atos Group and local Eviden (MCS) operational functions such as Security/DPO, Compliance, Quality & certification, Facility/site management where required
• Contribute to governance simplification and effectiveness across MCS
• Cross‑Functional & Stakeholder Alignment
• Act as key interface between MCS global leadership (COO, SBUs) and central functions (HR, Finance, Legal, IT, Security)
• Drive synergies with Eviden/Atos entities where relevant and ensure effective coordination across SBUs, delivery centres, and corporate functions
• Workforce & Resource Management
• Oversee strategic workforce planning, resource allocation, and alignment with global workforce management processes
• Balance internal resources, subcontracting, and delivery needs
• Continuous Improvement & Transformation
• Identify and drive operational improvements and efficiency initiatives, simplifying processes and reducing non‑value‑added activities such as excessive reporting
• Contribute to industrialisation and scalability of MCS operations

• Contribution to country‑level Gross Margin/Operating Margin (GM/OM)
• Cost efficiency / cost‑to‑serve reduction
• Resource utilisation rate

Customer & Business Impact

• Customer Satisfaction (CSAT)
• Support to pipeline conversion via delivery credibility
• Retention and expansion of strategic accounts

Workforce & Organization

• Workforce utilisation and capacity planning accuracy
• Time‑to‑hire / resource fulfilment performance
• Employee engagement (if applicable within scope)

Governance & Compliance

• Audit results (internal and external)
• Security and compliance adherence
• Risk mitigation effectiveness

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Master’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field

Experience

• 10–15+ years in operations leadership roles in complex, multi‑entity environments
• Strong background in project / delivery operations
• Governance and compliance
• Financial management (P&L exposure)
• Experience in defense, critical infrastructure, or regulated industries strongly preferred
