Team: 1 Brand Manager, 1 Product Manager (direct reports), 2 interns
Position Summary
In partnership with Global Brand holding & EMEA US Brands Director, the Head of Marketing leads the strategic development and execution of the marketing plans for NARS across EMEA.
Responsible for building Brand Equity as a leading artistry‑driven makeup brand, accelerating growth, driving consumer engagement, and ensuring flawless execution in diverse and competitive markets.
Brand Strategy
- Adapt and implement Global marketing strategy, piloting 360° guidelines and ensuring their execution across EMEA.
- Act as brand guardian, ensuring brand equity and consistency in all marketing and 360 activities.
- Partner with Global Brand holding to develop a 3‑year innovation plan relevant to EMEA based on sell‑out and trends analysis. Build EMEA forecast guidelines accordingly.
- Understand and synthesize regional and market insights to fuel the Global Brand holding & markets with a consumer‑centric & regional/local retailer approach.
- Support EMEA Director during the brand’s 3‑year plan budget exercise.
Go to Market
- Lead go‑to‑market strategies and ensure seamless launches and activations across EMEA markets, driving strong brand visibility, omni‑channel excellence, and impactful consumer engagement.
- Coordinate launch plans with local teams, adapting to regional consumer and retailer dynamics.
- Support identification and prioritization of new markets, channels, and retailers.
- Manage year‑on‑year assortment planning, linking assortment to Visual Merchandising (VM) updates and maximizing EMEA retailer configurations.
- Collaborate with EMEA expert teams (Media/Influence, Artistry & Education, E‑retail/commerce, VM, CRM, etc.) and cross‑functional partners to maximize launch impact.
- Build close collaboration with EMEA S&OP team for accurate forecasting, demand planning, and product availability ensuring on‑time and in‑full product launches.
- Manage Sephora Europe (Category team) as a key account with centralized oversight, coordinating with the KAM EMEA team and the markets.
Analysis and Reporting
- Lead post‑launch analysis and monthly performance reporting (sales, market share, consumer engagement, ROI).
- Track and analyze market trends, competitor activity, and consumer feedback to continuously optimize strategy.
- Communicate EMEA results, challenges, and opportunities to Global Brand holding teams, recommending proactive and long‑term adjustments.
Team Leadership
- Direct leadership: manage, develop and inspire direct reports, ensuring strong succession planning.
- Transversal leadership: coordinate and inspire a multicultural marketing team across EMEA markets and experts.
- Foster collaboration, creativity, and high performance within the wider brand community across Brand Holder x Region x Markets.
Requirements
- 7 to 10 years of experience in marketing leadership for luxury beauty, prestige, or premium FMCG brands (regional/international scope).
- Deep makeup category expertise (complexion, color cosmetics, Artistry) with proven track record translating trends and innovation into commercial growth.
- Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
- Fluent in English; French and/or another EMEA language a strong plus.
- Strategic vision, strong leadership, and collaboration skills.
- Commercial acumen and advanced analytical skills.
- Proven experience managing complex projects, multicultural teams, and large budgets.
- Deep understanding of digital marketing, luxury retail, and consumer engagement in EMEA.
- Passion for the beauty industry and innovation.
