Chery Automobile Co., Ltd., the third-largest Chinese automobile exporter, is accelerating its strategic expansion across Europe.

In France, Chery is preparing the launch and development of its brands Omoda and Jaecoo through its own distribution network. In parallel, recruitment is also underway to support additional group brands, including Lepas and Chery, iCaur , as part of Chery’s broader European growth strategy.

Present in more than 100 countries, the Group has sold over 17 million vehicles globally and reached 2.6 million units in 2024, including 1.14 million exports.

Head of Marketing en CDD – Chery (F/M)

Role Purpose

The Head of Marketing is responsible for defining and executing the marketing and brand strategy for Chery in France during the brand launch and market development phase.

This role acts as the local brand owner, ensuring strong market positioning, consistent brand expression, and effective marketing activation. The position bridges Group brand strategy with local execution, while supporting commercial performance, dealer network development, product launches, and customer experience excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Define and implement the Chery brand strategy in France, in alignment with Group vision, business objectives and local market expectations.
  • Establish clear brand positioning, key messages, target customer segmentation and competitive differentiation.
  • Develop a coherent brand approach across products, channels, communications, dealer network and customer touchpoints.
  • Ensure the brand is positioned effectively within the French and European automotive market.

Brand Identity & Governance

  • Define, deploy and maintain brand guidelines, including visual identity, tone of voice, storytelling and communication standards.
  • Act as the guardian of brand consistency across internal teams, dealer network, agencies and external partners.
  • Ensure appropriate local adaptation while preserving global brand integrity.
  • Implement governance processes to secure brand compliance across all marketing, retail and communication activities.

Marketing Activation & Communication

  • Lead integrated marketing campaigns, including brand launch, product launches, awareness campaigns and corporate communications.
  • Coordinate digital marketing, PR, social media, events, content strategy and customer-facing communication materials.
  • Validate key creative outputs and ensure alignment with brand positioning and business objectives.
  • Drive innovative and locally relevant marketing initiatives adapted to French and European consumer expectations.

Product Marketing & Launch Support

  • Contribute to product positioning, product storytelling and value proposition definition for each model.
  • Work closely with Product, Sales, HQ and Dealer Network teams to translate product features, pricing, target customers and competitive advantages into clear marketing messages.
  • Support product launch planning, including launch roadmap, key selling points, competitive benchmarks, customer-facing materials and dealer communication tools.
  • Provide market feedback, customer insights and competitor analysis to support product adaptation for the French and European markets.
  • Ensure consistency between product strategy, brand positioning, sales objectives and dealer network communication.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Product, Sales, Dealer Network, After‑Sales, Sales Operations and Customer Experience teams.
  • Ensure brand consistency throughout the customer journey, from awareness and lead generation to retail experience and ownership.
  • Contribute to go‑to‑market strategies, commercial activation plans and dealer network support.
  • Support internal alignment between HQ strategy and local business execution.

Agency & Budget Management

  • Select, brief and manage creative, media, PR, digital and branding agencies.
  • Manage marketing budgets and ensure efficient allocation of resources.
  • Monitor campaign performance, return on investment and agency deliverables.
  • Ensure that marketing activities are delivered on time, within budget and in line with brand standards.

Brand Performance & Market Intelligence

  • Define and monitor brand and marketing KPIs, including awareness, perception, engagement, lead generation impact and campaign effectiveness.
  • Conduct market analysis, consumer insight reviews and competitive benchmarking.
  • Use data and market feedback to continuously optimize marketing strategy and activation plans.
  • Identify market trends, customer expectations and competitive moves relevant to Chery’s development in France.

Profile

  • Senior marketing professional with strong experience in automotive, mobility, consumer goods or another brand-driven industry.
  • Proven ability to define and execute brand strategy, product marketing, launch campaigns and integrated communication plans.
  • Strong understanding of the French market, customer behaviour, dealer network dynamics and competitive positioning.
  • Experience managing agencies, budgets, campaigns and cross-functional projects.
  • Ability to operate in a fast-growing international environment, bridging global strategy and local execution.
  • Strong business acumen, analytical mindset, communication skills and ownership.
  • Fluent English and French are required. Chinese would be a plus.
