What Will You Be Doing
We are looking for a Head of Industrialization & Supply to own the industrialization and production ramp‑up of our PIC sensing probes and OCUs (Optical Control Units). You will work closely with the photonics, applications, and engineering teams to scale production while maintaining quality and delivery targets, and report to the CEO.
Responsibilities
- Industrialization & Production: take PIC and OCU products from validated design to repeatable series manufacturing, defining the industrialization roadmap, target manufacturing route, milestones and the investment needed.
- Plan production capacity: forecast demand, size and schedule runs, and secure partner capacity to meet them.
- Set up and maintain production tracking (yield, lead time, cost, non‑conformities) and use it to steer decisions.
- Drive yield, throughput and cost‑per‑unit improvement across successive production runs.
- External partner & supplier management: act as the primary point of contact for external manufacturing and assembly partners, define technical and quality requirements, negotiate timelines, capacity and pricing, qualify suppliers, secure continuity of supply, manage lead times and inventory, and anticipate bottlenecks before they hit production.
- Project management: plan and manage production‑related projects (new partner onboarding, process transfer, scale‑up milestones) with clear timelines and deliverables; track budgets, risks and dependencies; coordinate production runs and delivery schedules across subcontractors and internal teams.
- Quality & documentation: ensure production and quality documentation (protocols, traceability, non‑conformity reports) is complete and up to date; lead root‑cause analysis and corrective action on defects and failures; establish the quality standards regulated biopharma customers require.
Competencies / Profile
- Production track record: 5+ years of experience in production management in optics, photonics or semiconductor/microsystems industries.
- Photonics/PIC fluency: technical background in optics or PIC/chip‑based products – able to speak the same language as engineering and manufacturing partners.
- Outsourced manufacturing: proven experience managing external manufacturing/assembly partners (technical requirements, quality, timelines, costs).
- Project management: planning, tracking, cross‑functional coordination.
- Rigor: organized and rigorous – comfortable owning KPIs, documentation and traceability.
- Startup mindset: comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment across technical and operational domains.
- Communication: coordinate effectively with internal teams and external suppliers.
- Languages: fluent in English; French is a plus.
- Nice‑to‑have: experience scaling production from prototype/low‑volume to industrial volumes; familiarity with fiber optics, PIC packaging or optical module assembly; PMP or equivalent project management certification.
Benefits
- Health and life insurance (100%).
- Meal vouchers.
- Gymlib account (access to gyms & sports).
- Employee stock options (BSPCE).
- Flexible remote work policy.
- Regular social events.
- Growth opportunities with potential for leadership roles.
- Inclusive culture.
- Unique opportunity to be an early employee at an innovative startup.
