LVMH Métiers d'Art, a specialized division within the LVMH Group, plays a crucial role in safeguarding and advancing the supply of raw materials for its fashion houses. The division focuses on three main areas: leather, exotic leather, and metal components.

Comprising 17 industrial companies, LVMH Métiers d'Art employs approximately 2,600 individuals, with a significant presence across Italy, Portugal, Spain, France, and Singapore. These companies typically share a cultural heritage rooted in family ownership, are agile due to their smaller scale, boast efficient decision-making processes, and exhibit a strong entrepreneurial spirit.

Mission

The Head of HR supports the HR Director in shaping and executing the people strategy for LVMH Métiers d’Art. Acting as a trusted partner and second-in-command to the HR Director, this role combines strategic HR leadership with operational excellence, with a particular emphasis on talent management, leadership development, succession planning, and organizational capability building.

The role partners closely with business leaders and HR teams across Métiers d’Art to manage HR development processes, lead learning initiatives, foster employee engagement, enhance internal communication to cultivate a sense of belonging, and establish a dedicated Leather Academy to preserve and transmit critical savoir-faire.

A key focus of this role is also the development of management skills and the shaping of a robust management culture to strengthen organizational capabilities and support business objectives.

The Head of HR will report directly to the HR Director of LVMH Métiers d'Art

Job Responsabilities1. Strategic HR partnership

Support the HR Director in deploying the HR roadmap aligned with business priorities.

Act as a key advisor to senior leaders on organizational design, workforce planning, team effectiveness, and people decisions.

Serve as deputy to the HR Director on priority projects, governance topics, and day-to-day HR leadership. Contribute to budget planning and resource discussions.

Contribute to the development of a strong performance, engagement, and values-driven culture.

Ensure HR policies and practices are applied consistently and in compliance with local regulations and company standards.2. Talent management and succession

Lead the talent management agenda across LVMH Métiers d’Art.

Oversee the implementation of core HR development processes: performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, career pathing, and individual development plans

Collaborate with HR and business leaders to identify talent gaps, critical roles, and development priorities.

Develop and integrate tools and methodologies for internal mobility and leadership pipeline development, ensuring managers are equipped to effectively utilize these processes.

Ensure talent decisions are consistent, fair, data-informed, and aligned with business needs.3. Talent development and learning

Build leadership development initiatives to strengthen management capabilities across the with managers to create development plans for key talents and successors.

Support the design of :- learning journeys for emerging leaders, experts, and managers. - learning programs focusing on technical skills (e.g., craftsmanship, leather expertise), management skills (e.g., coaching, performance feedback, team leadership), and leadership development

Drive career pathing and internal mobility initiatives across functions and geographies where relevant.

Support organizational transformation projects, change management initiatives, and evolution of structures and roles.4. Leather Academy Development & Management

Lead the end-to-end conceptualization, launch, and ongoing operation of the future LVMH Métiers d'Art Leather Academy.

Define the Academy’s vision, curriculum, governance model, and accreditation standards (where applicable).

Collaborate with master artisans and technical experts to capture, structure, and disseminate specialized knowledge and techniques.

Ensure the Academy serves as a strategic resource for onboarding, upskilling, reskilling, and expertise transmission within the leather métiers.

Profile Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in HR, including strong exposure to Talent management, HR business partnering and Learning & Development, within a complex, international and matrix organization. Proven ability to support senior leaders and operate credibly at executive level. Experience managing sensitive organizational and people topics with sound judgment and discretion. Prior experience in establishing or significantly contributing to the creation of corporate academies or centres of excellence is a plus. Experience in the luxury, craftsmanship, manufacturing, or specialized industrial sector is highly preferred. Skills: Strong expertise in talent review, succession planning, assessment, and development. Excellent business partnering and stakeholder management skills. Project management capability and ability to drive multiple priorities simultaneously Communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of influencing at all levels. Proficiency in English; fluency in Italian is highly advantageous.   Education: Master’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field. Location: The position is based in Paris and requires travels. Additional Information
