Head of France (m/f)
Position based in the Northwest of France – fluent English required
In a context of growth and transformation, the French subsidiary is seeking its future Head of France.
- Reporting to Group Management, you will take full responsibility for the company’s French business organized around a multi-site network.
- Beyond managing the economic performance of the subsidiary, your mission is to support a new phase of development by strengthening the organization’s structure, promoting team alignment, and creating the conditions for sustainable and ambitious growth.
- You will operate in a rapidly changing environment, notably marked by the integration of recent acquisitions, the development of a shared culture, and the strengthening of governance. You will actively contribute to advancing the organization towards greater agility, accountability, and collective performance.
Your Responsibilities
As HEAD of France (M/F), you are responsible for the subsidiary’s overall performance in commercial, operational, human, and financial aspects. In this capacity, you:
- Manage all French activities with full responsibility for the profit and loss account;
- Define and implement the French market development strategy in line with the Group’s direction;
- Accelerate commercial growth and consolidate the company’s positioning in its markets;
- Ensure operational excellence of a multi-site organization by focusing on service quality, safety, and customer satisfaction;
- Align the company’s key functions (sales, operations, finance, and human resources) around shared objectives and effective governance;
- Support the integration of recently acquired entities and encourage the emergence of a common culture;
- Develop team skills, strengthen manager autonomy, and grow the executive committee;
- Implement rigorous management of performance, priorities, and action plans to improve execution and the organization’s responsiveness;
- Represent the French subsidiary to the Group and actively contribute to international strategic discussions.
Your Profile
- With a higher education background (business school, engineering school, or equivalent university degree), you have significant experience in General Management, Business Unit Management, or Profit Center Management with full P&L responsibility.
- You have built your career in technical B2B, industrial, service, or equipment rental environments, and have demonstrated your ability to lead complex organizations combining commercial, operational, and human challenges.
- You have in particular:
- Successful experience in contexts of transformation, sustained growth, post-acquisition integration, or scaling up;
- Solid experience in managing multi-site organizations;
- A strong ability to unite teams around a common vision and ambitious objectives;
- An accessible, demanding, and supportive leadership style that fosters engagement and accountability;
- Good command of matrix environments and interactions with international headquarters;
- Fluent English enabling you to operate effectively in the Group’s context.
- Knowledge of the equipment rental sector, technical services, or related activities will be a real asset.
