Sage is building a next-generation Embedded Finance and Banking Services business, partnering with Tier‑1 banks, FinTech's, and leading SaaS platforms to deliver scalable, API-driven financial capabilities.
This is a build-and-grow role at the heart of our strategy. You'll shape and lead our enterprise sales approach in Europe (with a strong focus on France), personally driving our most strategic partnerships while putting in place the foundations for long-term, repeatable growth.
This is not a role for managing an existing machine, it's about creating one.
What You Will Own
- Build & Execute the Enterprise Sales Strategy
- Define and lead the enterprise sales strategy for Embedded Finance across France and Europe
- Design a clear, pragmatic operating model (target accounts, ICP, deal approach, governance)
- Bring structure and discipline to long-cycle, complex enterprise selling
- Ensure alignment across Sales, Product, Engineering, Legal, and Finance to deliver deals end-to-end
- Lead Strategic Enterprise Deals Personally
- Originate, lead, and close high-value, complex partnerships with Tier‑1 banks, leading FinTech's, and/or large SaaS / platform players
- Navigate multi-stakeholder environments, including C-suite and board-level engagement
- Structure deals balancing commercial outcomes, technical feasibility, and regulatory constraints
- You will be expected to lead from the front — directly in the deal, not on the side.
- Drive Platform & API Sales Excellence
- Sell platform-level, API-driven solutions, not standard SaaS products
- Engage confidently on: Integrations and data flows, Platform architecture and scalability, and/or Embedded financial use cases within business workflows
- Work closely with Product and Solutions Engineering to position differentiated value
- Build a Scalable Commercial Engine
- Own pipeline build, forecast accuracy, and overall commercial performance
- Implement clear deal discipline and qualification standards
- Define pricing logic and commercial guardrails to support scalable growth
- Track and drive performance through key metrics (win rates, cycle time, ARR growth)
- Expand Market Presence in France & Europe
- Identify and win new strategic logos, not only grow existing relationships
- Adapt the value proposition to local market dynamics and regulatory environments
- Build credibility within the French enterprise ecosystem (banks, fintech, SaaS leaders)
What We’re Looking For
Experience
- ~12+ years in enterprise sales, with strong exposure to:
- Financial services, fintech, or banking infrastructure OR complex platform / API-based enterprise solutions
- Proven record of closing large, multi-year strategic deals
- Experience selling into Tier‑1 banks or major platforms (France and/or Europe)
Capabilities
- Strong deal‑maker mindset: autonomous, credible, outcome-focused
- Comfortable operating at executive and board level
- Able to combine commercial thinking with technical understanding
- Experience building or structuring a sales approach (not just executing it)
- High level of ownership, resilience, and accountability
- Fluent English and French is essential (both written and spoken, for executive-level engagement in the French market)
- Additional European languages (e.g. Spanish or German) are a strong advantage
