What will be your day to day?
As the Global Head of Engineering OmniSales, you will lead the software execution layer of our Beauty Tech and OmniSales ambition on a global scale. Your role will be to transform application project visions into robust, secure, scalable, and globally deployable platforms for our brands, markets, and partners. You will contribute directly to the acceleration of our in-housing strategy, the reinforcement of our engineering excellence, and the construction of sustainable systems capable of supporting omnichannel, personalized, and high-business-impact experiences.
- Engineering Mission & Leadership: Define the OmniSales engineering vision in alignment with the Group's business and technology strategy, and lead its implementation across a distributed and multicultural organization.
- Platform & Product Scope: Supported by application platform teams, oversee a portfolio of platforms and digital services. This includes boutique customer journeys, beauty diagnostic services, sales force tools, and foundational platforms enabling global, simple, and reliable deployment.
- Architecture & Industrialization: Define architectural choices and engineering standards to ensure performance, resilience, security, scalability, and maintainability across modern, distributed cloud environments.
- End-to-End Delivery: Oversee the complete software development lifecycle, from design to production deployment, by accelerating the transformation of ideas, AI use cases, and product innovations into scalable, deployed solutions.
- Transformation through GenAI: Make Generative AI a tangible driver of productivity and quality for engineering. This involves generalizing the use of development co-pilots, test automation, documentation assistance, assisted refactoring, and continuous improvement of delivery practices.
- Operational Excellence: Strengthen DevSecOps, SRE, CI/CD, observability, and infrastructure-as-code practices to ensure fast, safe, and frequent deployments, as well as high availability for critical services.
- Culture & Talents: Build a demanding engineering culture based on clarity, ownership, simplicity, and impact. Attract, develop, and retain technical talent within an in-housing and team-empowerment strategy.
- Cross-functional Partnership: Act as a strategic partner to the Product, Architecture, Data, Design, and Application Domain teams to translate business needs into clear, structured, and value-creating technical decisions for brands and markets.
Key Skills We Value for This Role:
- Global Engineering Leadership: Proven experience leading distributed engineering teams with an ability to recruit and develop talent in an international, matrix organization.
- Platform Architecture: Ability to design and evolve secure, resilient, and scalable cloud-native architectures, with mastery of trade-offs inherent in distributed systems.
- Cloud Expertise & Industrialization: Deep mastery of GCP and Azure environments, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, observability, and industrialization practices that enable rapid, safe, and frequent deployments.
- Modern Engineering: Understanding of microservices, event-driven, and API-first architectures, with focus on performance, reliability, security, idempotency, load management, and business continuity.
- AI, Data & Production Deployment: Collaborate with Data and AI teams to transform prototypes, scoring engines, ML models, or GenAI services into industrialised, governed, and globally exploitable products.
- Transformation through GenAI: Experience using GenAI to improve engineering productivity, software quality, documentation, testing, and time-to-market, while identifying high-value use cases.
- Strategic Vision: Align technological choices with business objectives, anticipate market trends, and invest in technical foundations for sustainable competitive advantage.
- Communication & Influence: Excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and English, with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders up to senior leadership levels.
- Mindset: Prefer simple yet powerful systems, seek long-term impact over short-term fixes, and combine technical excellence, pragmatism, and team spirit.
