Head of Engineering
About the Role
Shoppingfeed is seeking an experienced engineering leader to drive the technical evolution of our platform. Reporting to the VP of Technology and Architecture (PXM), you will lead the Engineering organization responsible for the Shoppingfeed platform, providing technical leadership while developing a high‑performing engineering culture. You’ll be responsible for architecture, engineering delivery, technical strategy and people leadership, ensuring the platform continues to scale while supporting Centric Software’s broader Product Experience Management strategy. What You Will Be Doing
Lead and develop the Shoppingfeed Engineering organization. Define and evolve the platform architecture alongside technical leaders. Own engineering execution, delivery quality and technical excellence. Build scalable engineering processes and improve development practices. Mentor Engineering Managers and Tech Leads. Partner closely with Product Management to execute the product roadmap. Drive architectural decisions that improve scalability, reliability and performance. Champion modern software engineering practices, cloud technologies and Dev
Ops. Ensure engineering decisions balance customer value, technical quality and long‑term maintainability. Build an engineering culture focused on collaboration, ownership and continuous improvement. What We’re Looking For
Proven experience leading software engineering teams within Saa
S. Strong technical background with experience in software architecture. Experience managing Engineering Managers or Technical Leads. Strong understanding of cloud‑native architectures and modern engineering practices. Ability to influence technical direction without being hands‑on day‑to‑day. Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience building and scaling engineering organizations. Technical Background and Additional Experience
Experience with cloud technologies and modern web architectures is important. Previous experience with PHP or AWS is beneficial but not essential; we are looking for someone with broad architectural expertise who can quickly understand and guide the existing technology stack rather than a hands‑on specialist.
