Head of Direct Sourcing & Merchandising

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the strategy and overall P&L/performance of the Europe direct sourcing business, including GMV and gross margin.
• Build and manage the Europe team, driving effective China–Europe collaboration and talent development.
• Lead supplier development and strategic brand partnerships across beauty, luxury, FMCG, food & beverage, mother & baby, kitchenware, etc.
• Build a localized European supplier and supply chain ecosystem; optimize category priorities based on market opportunities and returns.
• Own annual budgeting, cost control, business performance, and ROI.
• Lead major Group-level projects and drive successful execution across Europe.
• Act as the key interface between Europe and China HQ, coordinating procurement, logistics, legal, finance, and supply chain teams.
• Ensure local regulatory, tax, legal, and product compliance while supporting long-term market localization.
• Track Europe retail trends, competitors, and consumer insights to identify growth opportunities and risks.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or above.
• 10+ years in procurement, cross-border e-commerce, retail, or international brand management; 5+ years in leadership.
• Strong experience managing teams and businesses across European markets.
• Deep understanding of European commercial environments, supplier ecosystems, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience in cross-border e-commerce sourcing/brand acquisition or international procurement preferred.
• Strategy consulting / project management experience at top-tier firms is a plus.
• Strong executive stakeholder management, strategic thinking, cross-cultural leadership, and data-driven commercial judgment. xuezdbg
