Bunasta is one of the largest customs brokerage companies in the Baltic States and the United Kingdom, employing more than 250 customs and logistics professionals. As we continue expanding our operations in France, we are looking for an experienced customs professional to take responsibility for the development, quality, and growth of our customs brokerage activities in the French market.

This is not a typical customs declarant position. We are looking for a professional who can combine operational expertise with leadership, consulting, training, and business development.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and manage export, import, and transit customs declarations in France.
• Ensure compliance of all customs procedures with French and EU customs regulations.
• Take responsibility for the successful development and performance of Bunasta’s customs brokerage activities in France.
• Act as the primary customs expert for the French market within the Bunasta Group.
• Train, support, and mentor customs specialists across the organization.
• Assist colleagues in solving complex customs-related challenges and non-standard cases.
• Visit clients and provide professional customs consultations.
• Develop and implement new customs services and solutions.
• Support the acquisition and expansion of customs authorizations, guarantees, and operational capabilities.
• Work closely with the Business Development Management Team to identify growth opportunities and support commercial activities.
• Contribute to strategic decisions regarding the expansion of Bunasta’s services in France.

Initially, the role will involve a significant amount of operational work, including customs declarations and daily customs activities. As the business grows, the focus will gradually shift towards process development, consulting, training, service development, and strategic leadership.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on experience in customs brokerage in France.
• Strong knowledge of French export, import, and transit procedures.
• Ability to perform customs declarations independently.
• Ability and willingness to train and develop other customs professionals.
• Experience in advising clients on customs‑related matters.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• High level of responsibility, ownership, and accountability.
• Proactive, independent, and business‑oriented mindset.
