Head Of Curriculum, 2 Hour Learning (Remote) - $200,000/year USD
Position Overview
Are you prepared to harness AI to transform student outcomes at scale? 2 Hour Learning doesn't simply integrate AI into existing models—we have built it into our foundation. We have rebuilt the learning experience entirely, deploying AI and breakthroughs in learning science to transcend the limitations of the conventional school day. The outcome? Students who don't just reach expectations—they exceed them decisively.
Our results speak for themselves: learners on our platform routinely earn 4s and 5s across five or more AP exams, post over two years of growth on annual MAP assessments, and surpass their own perceived limits. If you are driven by the chance to produce transformative outcomes on an exceptional scale, 2 Hour Learning is your destination.
What You Will Be Doing
- Designing and iterating on an AI‑powered learning ecosystem that demonstrably surpasses conventional education, validated by concrete improvements in student performance metrics
- Interacting directly with students via virtual channels to comprehend their learning journeys, obstacles, and achievements, applying these findings to refine the learning ecosystem continuously
- Extracting insights from learning platform data to identify high‑leverage opportunities and engineer impactful academic interventions utilizing AI/ML, learning science, and evidence‑based motivational strategies
- Fostering a culture of fearless experimentation and data‑informed decision‑making, using analytics to catalyze breakthrough improvements in student growth patterns
- Collaborating with platform engineering, data science, and design functions to convert academic intelligence and student input into fluid product improvements
What You Won’t Be Doing
- Wrapping traditional schooling in an AI veneer. This role is not about digitizing classroom teaching – we’re reinventing learning fundamentally from first principles.
- Conducting analysis in a vacuum. You’ll be required to interact regularly with K‑12 students, treating their perspectives as critical feedback from our customers.
- Seeking approval before innovating. You’ll advocate for an ambitious vision and mobilize stakeholders through evidence‑backed outcomes.
- Defaulting to standard practices. You’ll have the latitude to test novel strategies for motivation, assessment, and pedagogy.
- Viewing AI as a risk to education. In this role, you’ll embrace AI as a powerful catalyst for learning transformation, not a challenge to be managed.
Basic Requirements
- Master’s degree or higher in Educational Science, Learning Science, Psychology, Psychometrics, Instructional Design, or a related field
- Leadership experience in education or EdTech
- Experience applying AI technologies in an educational or professional context
- Experience designing and implementing AI systems for tasks such as content generation, data analysis, or adaptive learning
- Strong understanding of learning science principles and data‑driven educational approaches
- Proven ability to communicate complex educational and technical concepts to diverse audiences
- Experience leading cross‑functional teams and managing complex projects
