Head of Compliance, International Corporate and Investment Bank

Our client are an international corporate and investment bank who are looking to expand their service offering across France and the European Union. Key services including Corporate Lending, Corporate Trade Finance, Treasury Solutions, Repo/ Reverse Repo, Debt Capital Markets (including Securitisation) and Project Finance. This 'Head of Compliance' opportunity is a key appointment as part of a 5 year growth strategy.

The role holder will serve as a principal liaison with the AMF and the ACPR.. This could be a highly rewarding, long-term opportunity for a talented Compliance Manager looking to take the next step up in their career.

Responsibilities:

• Assess regulatory and reputational risks that the bank face as part of their commercial growth, helping to build effective maps, controls and action points
• Manage the day-to-day compliance framework, incorporating AMF and ACPR policies as well as EU Directives
• Ensure key regulatory policies are clearly communicated to governance and commercial stakeholders - MAR, MiFID II, GDPR, Sapin II
• Develop an effective Anti-Money Laundering, CTF and Anti-Corruption framework
• Provide compliance training on an individual and group basis.
• Ensure that client services and financial promotions comply with local and international regulatory policies.
• Build relationships with compliance counterparts across Europe and internationally

Skills required:

• A minimum of 10 years' regulatory compliance experience within the Corporate and Investment banking sector is essential
• Prior holding of the RCSI or RCCI title is beneficial but not essential. Attendance on related training sessions with the AMF and an ability to take on the RCSI qualification would also be acceptable
• Additional pathway in law (in-house counsel), private practice within the corporate and investment banking sector is advantageous but not essential
• Business proficiency in both French and English is essential for international communication.
