Head of Clinical Biomarker Neurology (F/M)

We are seeking a visionary leader to drive innovative biomarker strategies across our Neurology portfolio, from early research to late-stage clinical development. As Lead, Biomarker Strategy, you will build, coach, and develop a high-performing team of Biomarker Strategy Leaders (BSLs), ensuring scientific excellence, regulatory readiness, and significant business impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Biomarker Strategy Leaders.
  • Define team objectives, talent development, and resource allocation.
  • Foster a collaborative, innovative, and high-performing culture.
  • Oversee and challenge biomarker strategies for scientific and regulatory rigor.
  • Drive multimodal biomarker plans, with a strong focus on digital biomarkers, EEG/electrophysiology, and neuroimaging , alongside biofluids.
  • Ensure strategies support patient selection, proof-of-concept, and benefit-risk assessment.
  • Validate biomarker contributions to regulatory documents and Health Authority interactions.
  • Lead long-term disease biomarker and knowledge strategies, including external consortia.
  • Build strong collaborations with internal and external experts.
  • Contribute to the strategic vision of Clinical Biomarker Development.

Profile:

  • PhD, PharmD, MD, or equivalent, with expertise in Neurology and/or Biomarkers.
  • Professional English (written and oral).
  • Extensive experience in translational medicine, biomarker development, and neuroscience drug development.
  • Demonstrated expertise in multiple biomarker modalities, particularly digital biomarkers, neuroimaging, and EEG/electrophysiology.
  • Proven track record leading biomarker strategies across the full R&D continuum.
  • Demonstrated people leadership experience, managing scientific experts.
  • Strong understanding of biomarker qualification and regulatory expectations.
  • Strategic mindset with excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Experience in rare neurological diseases (e.g., epilepsy, neuro-developmental) is a plus.
