Head of Business Development for Fund Connect Europe - VP m/f/d
Who We Are Looking For
The Head of Business Development for Fund Connect will report to the Head of Fund Connect EMEA. This general‑management role is responsible for our Fund Connect European business, overseeing strategic functions across business strategy, product conception/management, partner engagement, sales, implementation, client operations, and servicing. You will demonstrate initiative, energy, and networking skills to build trust within the MMF industry and across the State Street organization.
Responsibilities
- Manage overall client onboarding, set expectations, deliver on commitments, and maximize revenue.
- Participate in sales processes and discovery sessions to ensure superior demonstrations and presentations.
- Develop expertise on industry trends, competitor services, and client business environments to share insights and impact client business models.
- Position European Fund Connect strategically for new and existing products, defining features, client benefits, investment merits, and competitive differentiation.
- Partner with marketing to deliver product positioning and sales collateral.
- Create an integrated view of product and competitive opportunities based on market constituents, client feedback, and industry developments.
- Recommend product gaps, marketing themes, and campaigns to maximize competitive advantage.
- Serve as local Outsourced Performance Manager, overseeing due diligence, risk assessment, controls, SLAs, KPIs, and governance.

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in a related discipline; FCA certification preferred.
- BS/BA with 7+ years of experience leading a product in financial services.
- Experience with exchange‑traded funds and global financial markets.
- Strategic thinker with independent initiative across functions.
- Experience driving initiatives from concept to implementation.
- Proven product strategy expertise and successful channel implementation.
- Excellent communicator, experienced in presenting to senior leaders.
- Relationship management experience is a plus.
- Ethical business conduct and personal integrity.
