Job Title: Biotech Production Head
Location: Vitry-sur-Seine, France
About the Role
As Biotech Production Head within our Vitry Production Site, you'll lead Upstream and Downstream Operations as well as the Production Support team, playing a key leadership role in ensuring manufacturing activities are operated in a safe and GMP‑compliant manner — while driving simplification and digitalization of production processes.
Located on a platform of 2,000 employees that includes both an industrial and an R&D site, the Vitry Production Site is a Manufacturing and Supply Specialty Care Factory focused on biotech production (Sarclisa, Kevzara, Praluent). The site is well‑connected to the Paris metropolitan area and benefits from proximity to corporate teams.
You will report directly to the Site Head, as a member of the Site Leadership Team, and represent Vitry within the Specialty Care Manufacturing & Supply Production Network.
Main Responsibilities
- Establish departmental and individual goals and objectives in alignment with site priorities, and ensure efficient use of resources and expertise.
- Develop strategies that ensure manufacturing objectives and drive overall improvement in plant performance.
- Lead the manufacturing team to excellent performance using SMS/operational excellence tools.
- Create strategies and plans to manage operational risk and oversee the Manufacturing budget.
- Provide technical leadership to the Manufacturing organization; keep current on trends, new technologies, and digital developments.
- Coordinate with HR regarding recruitment, objective‑setting, performance assessment, and company policies.
- Ensure full respect of HSE instructions and GMP compliance across all manufacturing activities.
About You
- Successful experience in the Pharma manufacturing industry; Biotech experience is a must.
- Strategic mindset with a drive for innovation in management and processes; knowledgeable advocate of digital solutions.
- Proven leadership skills and experience managing large teams (150+ employees).
- Operational rigor, structured thinking, and strong analytical skills.
- Strong collaboration skills; experience working in Autonomous Production Units is a plus.
- Ability to set ambitious yet realistic targets.
- Fluent in English (required).
