What You’ll Do

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Head of Accounting Operations to lead our global accounting functions at Criteo. This pivotal role will oversee key accounting areas including payroll, intercompany transactions, and long‑term assets, ensuring seamless operations and compliance with accounting standards. Additionally, the role will play a crucial part in shaping and driving the implementation of our future ERP system, and lead initiatives to simplify and streamline the accounting processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage global accounting operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with US GAAP (knowledge of IFRS is a plus).
  • Drive timely closing in the ERP, ensuring strong collaboration and coordination with the Consolidation team and with FP&A.
  • Ensure robust internal controls and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee and optimize accounting processes including payroll, intercompany transactions, and fixed assets.
  • Intercompany: partner with Corporate Tax to ensure the transfer‑pricing policy is applied accurately and drive governance and automation.
  • Partner with cross‑functional teams, including Finance, IT, and Operations, to enhance financial reporting and controls.
  • Own the global Chart of Accounts, partnering with the Transformation team to design and maintain a scalable data model, and collaborating closely with the Consolidation and Reporting team to ensure alignment with ledger‑based reporting requirements.

Digitalise Accounting Operations

  • Define and drive the ERP implementation strategy, aligning systems, processes, and data structures to enable scalability and operational efficiency. Design clear ‘to‑be’ processes that are ready for implementation.
  • Partner with other stakeholders to ensure timely deployment of the new ERP.
  • Champion automation, technology, and process improvements to minimise manual effort and increase the speed and accuracy of all accounting processes.
  • Proactively partner with the upstream functions (e.g., business procurement, R&D teams) where finance data often originates and is managed to facilitate consistent data practices.

Providing Visionary and Supportive Financial Leadership and Team Management

  • Develop and mentor a high‑performing accounting team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
  • Foster a culture of technology acceptance to drive greater use of automation and accounting software.
  • Inspire the team to increase financial accuracy and transparency via clear definitions and good standards of operations.
  • Oversee talent management plans to develop high‑performing finance, accounting, and digital talent that meet organisational and personal goals.
  • Continuously evaluate and evolve the accounting operating model, working to streamline processes, enhance consistency across teams, and strengthen collaboration within the global accounting function.

Who You Are

  • 15+ years of accounting experience, preferably in the technology sector, including a minimum of 5 years leading teams in a senior role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or related field and deep expertise in US GAAP (IFRS knowledge is a strong plus).
  • Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is highly desirable.
  • Proven track record of running an efficient accounting operation, business processes, and financial management controls environment.
  • Proven track record in accounting transformations and ERP implementation, including significant expertise with Oracle Fusion or SAP S/4HANA and process redesign and optimisation.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and drive change in a complex environment.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and project‑management abilities, with a hands‑on approach to execution.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Fluent English is a must; French is a strong plus.
