Hardware Quality Engineer

Overview

Responsibilities include participating in specification reviews, risk identification, and validation phases; collaborating with mechanical, electronics, firmware and industrialization teams to ensure product robustness; defining and leading test strategies; performing tests and drafting validation reports; leading internal beta-test campaigns and translating field feedback into action plans; developing and improving quality control procedures in production; monitoring quality metrics on the manufacturing floor and resolving critical issues; investigating customer complaints and conducting root cause analyses; contributing to the ongoing implementation of the quality system and regulatory compliance (ISO 13485, MDR).

Responsibilities

• Support the development of new products by participating in specification reviews, risk identification, and validation phases
• Work closely with mechanical, electronics, firmware and industrialization teams to ensure product robustness
• Define test strategies (verification, reliability, durability) and lead their execution
• Perform tests, analyze results and draft validation reports
• Lead internal beta-test campaigns and translate field feedback into concrete action plans
• Develop and improve quality control procedures in production
• Monitor quality metrics on the manufacturing floor and resolve critical issues in accordance with quality, cost and timeline requirements
• Investigate customer complaints and conduct root cause analyses with relevant teams
• Contribute to the ongoing implementation of the quality system and regulatory compliance (ISO 13485, MDR)

Qualifications

• Degree from a leading engineering school and a desire to work on hands-on technical challenges close to the product and end user
• Proven initial experience in a demanding industrial environment (product development, validation, methods, laboratory, quality or industrialization)
• Strong fundamentals in mechanics, electronics and production processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on, user-oriented approach
• Genuine technical curiosity and a willingness to challenge decisions to improve products
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to align and engage stakeholders across functions
• Python development skills and a good command of SQL queries are a plus
• Fluent English, both written and spoken
