- A/C control surfaces sizing to ensure the A/C maneuverability and stability requirements.
- Flight domain definition: definition of characteristic speeds, angle‑of‑attack protection settings, and setup of weight & CG diagrams, in close relation with cockpit systems, flight operations and flight test teams.
- Assessment of the A/C behaviour in case of failure of A/C systems and evaluation of the criticality of the event, contributing to define the procedures with Flight Ops, Flight Tests and system teams on how to manage the failure.
Responsibilities
- Check aircraft and actuator sizing for HQ needs.
- Define the flight domain where aircraft safety, comfort and reliability are guaranteed (including characteristic speeds, angle‑of‑attack settings, sideslip domains and procedures for failure cases).
- Analyse the consequences of any system failure on aircraft stability and control.
- Analyse in‑service events and system behaviour during these events.
- Prepare, perform and follow up simulator tests and flight test requests necessary to validate those studies.
Qualifications
- Degree in aeronautical engineering / mechanical engineering (or equivalent) with some experience.
- Knowledge of flight dynamics, test and/or flight physics.
- Experience with control simulation tools such as Matlab and Simulink.
- Knowledge of automatic control of system control feedback loops is a plus.
- Interest in digitalisation (data analytics) would be a plus (e.g., Python).
- Aircraft systems knowledge would be a significant advantage.
- Advanced level of English and French.
Benefits
- Financial rewards: attractive salary, agreements on success and profit sharing schemes, employee savings plan and stock purchase plan on a voluntary basis.
