Airbus Defence & Space seeks a Communications & Connectivity Senior System Engineer (f/m) to join the Comms Systems Architectures Team based in Toulouse, France.
A vacancy for Communications & Connectivity Senior System Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space – Air Power in Toulouse. The successful applicant will join the Comms Systems Architectures Team within the A/C Connectivity & Comms domain and will have a French contract.

Your challenges
- Deliver system engineering activities in time, cost, and quality, including integration, verification, certification, and security accreditation.
- Participate in internal and external technical reviews, support progress review meetings and customer discussions.
- Contribute to capturing customer requirements, incorporate them in the design, and ensure generation, follow‑up, review, and validation of design documentation.
- Ensure close coordination with Chief Engineering Office, other systems work packages, and COMMS design offices.
- Act with integrity and maintain awareness of potential compliance risks to support the company’s success, reputation, and sustainable growth.
Your boarding pass
- Degree in Engineering (PhD/Telecommunications Engineering desirable).
- Senior System Engineer profile with experience in communications/connectivity/aviation‑related jobs.
- Knowledge of A/C and comms architecture on at least one platform (UAS, MRTT, C295, A400M) and familiarity with system engineering (DPs / ABDs) and certification processes.
- Familiarity with comms systems (voice, IP/digital, tactical datalinks) and strong awareness of cyber‑security implications for airborne platforms.
- Proficiency in project management, requirements traceability (DOORS), configuration control, model‑based systems development (Simulink, Matlab, CAMEO) with strong problem‑solving skills and fluent English.
