Group Tax Expert

About the role

Within the Group, you will join the Group Tax Department (GTD), a cross‑functional team consisting of 11 professionals and two trainees. You will be positioned under the Deputy Head of Tax in the Advisory Team, which focuses on international advisory activities and tax accounting/transparency.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support tax teams in various locations, handling technical topics that require specialised expertise.
• Organise monthly follow‑up calls and visits, understand key tax matters, and ensure local teams align with Group tax guidelines, including involvement in M&A transactions when required.
• Implement the VAT grouping regime each year, participate in tax audits when needed, and prepare technical tax reports.

Qualifications

• 2‑5 years of professional experience in a tax role, with strong knowledge of French indirect tax topics and some international exposure.
• Degree in Law or Economics with a master/postgraduate qualification in taxation.
• Strong communication, analytical and service‑orientated skills, pragmatic approach, and a focus on results.
• Willingness to explore and use new technologies (including AI) to enhance task performance.
• Proficient English (oral and written) and additional third language knowledge beyond French.
