Group Risk and Insurance Manager

We are looking for an experienced Risk & Insurance Manager to drive Enterprise Risk Management (ERM), secure the Group insurance coverage, safeguard business continuity and Crisis Management (BPM), in an evolving environment. The role plays a key part in supporting strategic decision‑making, protecting enterprise value, and strengthening the Group’s risk governance. Reporting directly to the Head of Corporate Legal Affairs who is also in charge of Enterprise Risk Management and Insurance, you will work in an international environment, hand‑in‑hand with stakeholders across the organization, ensuring that risk awareness becomes part of our DNA. The role is designed as a subject‑matter expert position and includes the management of one person.
About the Team
Within the Legal & Compliance department, the Insurance team operates in a highly international environment, collaborating with approximately 20 colleagues worldwide. You will work closely with multiple Business Lines and global stakeholders, and maintain strong relationships with external insurance brokers, including the management and monitoring of insurance claims.
Key Responsibilities
Risk Management
- Maintain and continuously improve the Enterprise Risk Management Framework to ensure its effectiveness and maturity across the organization.
- Benchmark against industry best practices and propose enhancements.
- Support risk owners in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks, including projects and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare risk reporting for management and other stakeholders, including Group risk matrix or specific risk matrix for strategic projects.
- Keep the Enterprise Risk Management policy and processes up to date, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with Group policies.
- Lead training and other communication initiatives that make risk awareness second nature across the company.
Insurance optimization and business contractual review
- Coordinate the Group insurance program with brokers and insurers, negotiate and implement the Group’s insurance policies (France and internationally).
- Manage policies including monitoring premiums, issuing certificates, collecting and updating information.
- Review, negotiate and draft insurance provisions in business contracts in collaboration with the Legal Department.
- Implement and monitor specific insurances for certain projects.
- Oversee Group claims (professional liability, property damage, transport, etc.).
- Drive the integration of cyber and technology risks into enterprise risk management, ensuring robust oversight of digital, cybersecurity, and infrastructure-related exposures.
Business Continuity and Crisis Management
- Coordinate and support the operational teams in developing Business Continuity Plans (BCP). Keep best‑in‑class frameworks aligned with Group policies and industry best practices.
- Play a key role in the Group’s crisis management framework, including preparation, simulation exercises, and coordination during crisis situations.
Qualifications
Required:- Bachelor's degree in risk management, insurance or equivalent degree.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in risk management and insurance.
- Deep expertise in risk management frameworks (COSO ERM) and BCM standards.
- Ability to analyze data and leverage insights for risk decision‑making.
- Negotiation skills: solid capacity to review and draft insurance provisions in the Company’s best interest.
- Proven experience in project management, driving cross‑functional initiatives to successful completion.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
- Management skills: Demonstrate strong leadership and expertise in changing management to effectively inspire teams, as well as the ability to offer guidance and advice to direct reports.
- Analytical mindset with a talent for simplifying complex topics.
- Strong ability to engage senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Fluent in French and English (written and verbal).
- Professional certification in Risk Management or BCM (e.g., CEFAR).
