Overview
Group Procurement mission is to increase Group competitiveness by optimizing the end‑to‑end procurement cycle of external spend (excluding Insurance Procurement), while building a high‑performance, sustainable and risk‑managed supplier base. With over 350 professionals across more than 20 entities, Procurement manages a complex ecosystem of vendors and a significant spend in General Expenses and IT.
Responsibilities
- Leverage purchasing power & drive procurement discipline to boost savings generation.
- Provide category & sourcing strategy, design and push Group contracts, and leverage our scale across AXA.
- Drive procurement discipline within AXA by engaging the procurement community, sharing best practices, defining and sharing KPIs, and designing processes to enhance efficiency.
- Provide a group software asset management offer.
- Manage relationships with key vendors: engage key vendors to leverage AXA strategy and growth, define vendor strategies, build appropriate governance, implement performance KPIs, and build relationships to drive vendor expectations.
- Provide expertise through a center of excellence to drive performance & responsible procurement: offer M&A services to support AXA in acquisitions, divestitures & internal transfers; push sustainable procurement practices to reduce the carbon footprint, increase diversity and solidarity sourcing; define and share vendor risk framework & outsourcing policies; drive procurement tools/data strategy and core model implementations; and provide appropriate performance monitoring KPIs and processes.
- Lead strategic projects in close collaboration with the Group CPO and the management team, defining required initiatives to deliver them.
- Collaborate with 12 main entities to align interests, push for scale, and drive collaborative initiatives & mindset.
- Monitor the Group Procurement project portfolio and progress of initiatives, securing all necessary governance steps.
- Work closely with the Head of Procurement Performance and the team (tools, data, risk, savings, etc.) and Group Category leaders.
- Participate to define & lead procurement strategy, objectives and transformation initiatives in close collaboration with the management team.
- Deliver & keep track of strategic transformation initiatives (operating model review, performance program, GEN AI initiatives, etc.).
- Develop, prioritise and monitor a multi‑year Group Procurement project portfolio & ensure validation and funding.
- Handle high‑level presentations for different audiences (professional family, top management, key stakeholders).
- Conduct market research and analyse industry procurement trends and opportunities to collaborate, syndicate findings and coordinate across functions.

- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, at various hierarchy/seniority levels. Excellent storytelling and presentation skills.
- Stakeholder Management: Capacity to build relationships with international stakeholders at all levels and manage their expectations. Ability to influence others and negotiate effectively to achieve desired outcomes, especially when dealing with conflicting priorities and no formal hierarchy.
- Adaptability and Flexibility: Capacity to adjust plans in response to changing circumstances or unexpected challenges; effectively prioritise tasks to meet deadlines.
Experience
- Graduate.
- 7–10+ years of professional experience, preferably in consulting or program management.
- Experience in an international company working with several entities would be a plus.
Technical Skills
- Business acumen: ideally knowledge of procurement activities and the insurance sector.
- English – fluent in speaking and writing.
- French – fluent in speaking & writing (plus).
