Group Finance Solvency II Financial Analyst Intern

The Group Finance Solvency II team is responsible for quantitative and qualitative reporting. The quantitative reporting team focuses on the economic balance sheet (EBS) and investment reporting, ensuring production of Solvency II quantitative reporting requirements for the SCOR Group and solo EEA entities.

Responsibilities

You will integrate into a team responsible for the timely production of SCOR Group’s quantitative reporting under Solvency II (Investment QRTs) and narrative reporting. The team also ensures that solo EEA entities can access the information necessary for production of quantitative reporting requirements at their level.

Objectives

• Support the production of the Investment QRTs and Investment P&L attribution following regulatory requirements for SCOR Group and solo entities by performing: Data collection (creation and enhancement of specific collection templates, data extractions, and follow‑up on the submissions received); Data analysis and quality control (reconciliation checks to SCOR’s accounting ledgers; completeness and quality data checks)
• Internal communications (regular status update for SII P3 meetings; production and statistics for data quality and completeness)
• Document controls and ensure the IC controls are relevant and up to date
• Participate in the testing phase of multiple projects involving the industrialisation and future reporting processes of SII
• Proactively be involved in any process upgrade and improvement and other ad‑hoc tasks to support the SII P3 asset team.

Qualifications

• Ideally enrolled in a Finance/insurance master with a strong interest in the insurance sector
• Strong financial background; insurance knowledge appreciated
• Strong IT skills: Excel (test performed as part of the interview) and PowerPoint required; VBA knowledge appreciated
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English required; French speaking a plus
