Graduate CPU Verification Engineer
Job Overview
We are hiring a highly skilled and motivated graduate engineer to join our verification team and contribute to the delivery of future groundbreaking processors at Arm’s Sophia Antipolis design centre.
What you will do
Work on a sophisticated Random Instruction Sequences (RISC) tool that verifies the functionality of all CPU IP products worldwide. The role covers the entire lifecycle of the tool, from development to deployment, and you will be accountable for:
- Gathering requirements from the CPU Design and Verification teams
- Understanding the intricacies of the CPU micro‑architecture and defining how to push the test boundaries
- Architecting and developing solutions to improve stimulus generation to produce programs that stress our next‑generation CPUs
- Implementing, maintaining, and supporting the tool
Qualifications
- Hold (or be on track to hold) a university or engineering degree by the programme start date (Bachelor, Master, PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related field with relevant experience)
- Proficiency in software programming and scripting languages (C, C++, Python, etc.)
- Understanding of assembly language (ASM)
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work well as part of a team, and willingness to address varied technical challenges
- Knowledge of CPU architecture and micro‑architecture concepts
- Experience in RTL verification and design techniques (Verilog or VHDL)
- Exposure to embedded platforms such as Arduino, Raspberry Pi, or similar
- Problem‑solving approach
Compensation
Salary range: €40,300 - €54,500 per year. Starting salary €45,000 for Bachelor level or €47,000 for Master level, with opportunities for progression.
Additional Information
Relocation support is available for domestic moves within the country and regional moves within Europe. Visa sponsorship support is also available for candidates who require it.
