Job Overview

Trade Republic is the largest savings platform in Europe, operating in 18 countries and serving more than 10 million customers with over €150B in assets.

What You'll Be Doing

• Contribute to backend services using modern JVM technologies (Kotlin, Java, Spring)
• Support the design and development of scalable, reliable systems
• Work with APIs, databases and service‑oriented architectures
• Write clean, maintainable, well‑tested code
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver user‑facing features
• Gain exposure to cloud infrastructure (AWS), containerisation and CI/CD pipelines
• Assist in debugging, monitoring and improving system performance
• Gradually take ownership of well‑scoped technical projects

You will learn how backend systems are built, deployed and scaled in a real production environment.

What We Look For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Strong foundations in programming (Java, Kotlin, or similar)
• Understanding of core computer science concepts (data structures, algorithms, APIs)
• Exposure to backend development through projects, internships or coursework
• Curiosity about distributed systems, scalability and system design
• Fluent English (written and spoken); all communication and collaboration is conducted in English
• Structured thinking and attention to detail
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast‑paced environment
