Job Summary
The Global Project Control Director is responsible for ensuring effective control over our portfolio of EPC/EPCM projects, providing an enhanced view to the Leadership Team.
Responsibilities
- Work with process owners in various countries to identify improvements and reinforce project predictability.
- Coordinate with the Finance Function and Center Risk Management & Project Cost Control Managers to implement harmonized Project Control guidelines, processes, and tools across E&C Centers.
- Act as Business Process Owner for the E&C harmonization project (ALIGN).
- Formulate and implement the Project Control Management vision at the global level.
- Provide expertise and best‑practice implementation, including delivery of workstreams associated with the Operations Roadmap and ad‑hoc training.
- Animate the network of Project Controls professionals, ensuring training, development, and maintenance of working methods.
- Implement and maintain control tools and reporting for governance of main projects, standardising Project Control Reports across the organization.
- Define global guidelines and objectives, ensuring adherence across all projects through tools and procedures.
- Develop and own the Project Review process, ensuring projects are accurately presented and reviewed.
- Continuously seek to improve business efficiency through best‑practice solutions.
- Provide training packages for schedule, project cost control, reporting, and productivity measurement to different regions.
- Lead and coordinate a multidisciplinary team of project cost control, planning & scheduling, risk management, and KPI/reporting functions.
- Develop a network of contacts across E&C to maximise resource, knowledge, and system sharing.
- Ensure quality of service provided to business management and project management according to requirements.
- Consolidate project control information to reflect an accurate picture of the Center project portfolio.
- Provide support to Risk Management processes and assist with risk mitigation strategies as needed.
Qualifications
- Minimum 15 years of experience in EPC projects, including full EPC lifecycle on at least one project.
- Strong financial understanding of KPIs and P&L, with analytical skills and comfort working with finance.
- Proficiency with key tools such as Primavera P6, EO‑D (P-Bi), and PSR.
- Behavioral and management skills: focus on delivery, international exposure, pragmatic perspective for project control strategy development, and ability to define and deploy multinational processes.
- Excellent written and presentation skills.
- Leadership and communication abilities, able to lead and coordinate multi‑region teams of project control managers, planners, schedulers, cost controllers, and external functions.
