Global Partner Business Manager – Service Provider

Hybrid role with an expectation to work approximately two days per week from an HPE office.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted advisor and expert to partners such as VARs, distributors, system integrators, ISVs, and managed service providers.
  • Create and ship joint business plans that drive HPE revenue, profitability, and pipeline.
  • Communicate HPE’s global and local business strategies to “sell with,” “sell to,” and “sell through” partners and develop scalable selling ecosystems.
  • Tailor solutions to influence the broader partner ecosystem and differentiate HPE from competitors.
  • Develop deep knowledge of partner priorities, industry trends, IT landscape, investment strategy, and HPE technology.
  • Build executive‑level relationships to grow HPE market share.
  • Coordinate and execute HPE activities with partners, including sales cadence, education, marketing, executive briefings, forecasting, planning, and client engagements.
  • Lead HPE marketing strategy through the customer and drive account mapping with partner and HPE sales teams.
  • Promote increased value to pipeline and revenue/profit growth while leveraging the partner ecosystem.
  • Implement HPE strategy, programs, and systems on behalf of the partner to accelerate financial outcomes and build partner loyalty.
  • Influence partners to engage additional resources such as sellers, solution architects, and other HPE personnel.
  • Tailor selling solutions to partner customer profiles, leveraging HPE products, services, and technology alliances to meet quotas.
  • Assist in monitoring the partner sales floor to build pipeline and support sales activities.
  • Ensure partners comply with HPE Standards of Business Conduct and legal obligations.

Education and Experience

University or bachelor’s degree; advanced degree or MBA preferred. 8–12+ years of end‑user or partner‑level selling experience and evidence of successful account/business management, selling to CxO and decision‑maker level.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Technology acumen – deep awareness of current trends and ability to articulate HPE strategy.
  • Sales acumen – influence partners, identify opportunities, and formulate solutions to grow HPE business.
  • Account management – understand business and financial fundamentals to develop partner plans.
  • Portfolio knowledge – thorough understanding of HPE products and differentiation from competitors.
  • Partner industry acumen – deep understanding of partner industry, trends, competitors, and channel.
  • Partnering acumen – build relationships inside and outside the partner ecosystem for integrated sales.
  • Negotiation and conflict management – achieve agreements and resolve issues for all parties.
  • Financial acumen – comprehend income statements, balance sheets, revenue projections to assess customer health.
  • Sales forecasting – anticipate partner needs and forecast quota to bridge gaps.
  • Communication – professional, clear, effective verbal and written skills.
  • Time management – prioritize and meet deadlines.
  • Creativity and entrepreneurship – innovate and think beyond prescribed solutions.
