Global Health Safety and Environment Generalist Director
To act as the competent Head of the HSE function in advising top management on appropriate strategy, ISO certification and industry best practice, ensuring HSE is aligned to wider Business strategy.
Working alongside the GHO Head of Quality in the development of high-level integrated management systems, tools and communication to ensure efficiency and effectiveness in the delivery of QHSE excellence at a Regional and Country level.
Establishing the appropriate HSE capability across all levels of the QHSE function as well as the delivery of ongoing training programmes for Operations teams.
Proactively engage Leadership teams in the effective ownership and delivery of HSE strategy, continuous improvement, and incident reduction initiatives.
Ensure the organization maintains external ISO Certification and other applicable accreditations associated with HSE.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
- Develop and maintain good professional cross-functional relationships with internal stakeholders to provide competent support and guidance
- Keep HSE best practice, legal knowledge, and professional status up to date - provide technical HSE expertise to ensure legal compliance
- Drive a culture of proactive HSE and Continuous improvement to ensure compliance withstandards, regulations, and customer requirements at all levels
- Accountability for developing on Global HSE strategy
- Liaise with stakeholders across the organization to ensure HSE is an integral element of the day-to-day operation of the business, creating a positive customer centric culture based on trust, accountability and learning.
- Develop and promote HSE systems & governance aligned with the overall integrated approach with Quality management and regional accountability for compliance.
- Defining and deliver the HSE capability improvement framework across all organizational levels and develop members of the HSE function through coaching, delegation, and training to fulfil their job role and meet requirements.
- Develop and continuously improve audit Governance (internal & external), liaising with relevant functions in achieving and maintaining certification to ISO 14001 and 45001 Management standards
- Establish robust HSE KPIs with an imbedded performance review cycle, driving accountability for the delivery of high HSE standards across all Regions
- Provide Guidance to the CEVA organization on HSE standards compliance and actively support Senior Management in deployment of HSE leadership as a core skill
- Prepare HSE performance reports to top management
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Recognised Degree level qualification in Occupational Health & Safety
- Certificate in Environmental Management
- Membership with Recognised HSE Professional Bodies
- Proven record in delivering performance improvements
- Experience of coordinating a training programme
- Experience delivering change management through strong stakeholder relationships
- Comprehensive working knowledge of ISO 14001 and 45001 management processes, principles and methodologies
- Good level of office applications skills
- Dangerous goods Safety Advisor
