Global Head of Security
Overview

We are looking for a Global Head of Security. You will be based at The Island, our office in central Paris.
Responsibilities
- Report to the Global Security Director and translate the company’s global security strategy into actionable operational programs, ensuring consistent deployment across all regions.
- Protect people, assets, information, and operations by leading global security operations, coordinating regional teams, and driving execution excellence.
- Develop operational plans, policies, and programs from the global security strategy and ensure adoption across all regions.
- Monitor the effectiveness of global security programs through KPIs, reporting, and performance reviews; continuously improve frameworks, tools, and processes to enhance efficiency and resilience.
- Support internal controls, audits, and reporting processes.
- Oversee day-to-day global security operations, implementing Travel Risk Management, Crisis Management, and Intelligence & Risk Analysis.
- Maintain operational readiness and standardized processes across geographies.
- Oversee incident response and incident management, including processes, tools, and training; manage the on-duty process.
- Lead and develop a global network of Regional Security Managers and manage the operational budget.
- Foster collaboration between global and local teams to ensure alignment and information flow.
- Provide operational guidance and support to affiliates on security topics, ensuring alignment with global protocols.
- Identify emerging risks by leveraging intelligence and field insights; adapt security standards and programs to evolving threats and environments.
- Drive security awareness initiatives across the organization and promote accountability and best practices at all levels.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in security, defense, international relations, business school or equivalent.
- At least 8 years of experience in security and crisis management, preferably in an international environment.
- Strong knowledge of corporate security, risk management, and crisis response; solid understanding of geopolitical and security environments.
- Proven experience deploying global programs and operating models; ability to design and manage KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks.
- Excellent influence without authority and decision-making under uncertainty; demonstrated ability to navigate complex stakeholders at executive level.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with strong writing and synthesis skills.
- Fluent in English and French (written and spoken).
- Highly autonomous, proactive, and accountable; able to operate in complex, multicultural environments and perform under pressure, especially during crises.
- Available for on-call duty, able to participate in the global crisis management team when required, and open to international travel.
