Role Overview
The Global EDA Product Owner is responsible for the success of the EDA platform, enabling real‑time, event‑driven data exchange across the Group. The role evolves from activating the first wave of use cases to owning the full product vision for enterprise‑scale event‑driven capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and prioritize EDA use cases and market the platform through internal go‑to‑market strategies (demos, playbooks, success stories).
- Enable teams adopting the EDA platform by providing guidance, reusable patterns, tooling and documentation.
- Advance EDA adoption by transforming use cases into reusable products and positioning EDA within the broader integration landscape.
- Own and maintain the EDA product backlog, write user stories, and work with the squad to deliver MVPs and iterations.
- Industrialize EDA assets—ensure event streams, connectors, and reference architectures are documented, versioned, catalogued and governed.
- Coordinate with platform, security, and data governance teams to ensure compliance with architecture, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor EDA product KPIs (adoption, throughput, incidents, consumer count) and drive continuous improvement.
- Contribute to documentation, release notes, demos and training to support new consumers and producers.
Key Requirements
- 8–12 years of experience in integration, product management or a similar role in a large complex organization.
- Strong background in event streaming, APIs, iPaaS, messaging, and batch flows.
- Proven ability to drive technology adoption and build go‑to‑market strategies for internal platforms.
- Experience working in global, distributed environments.
- Solid understanding of integration concepts (REST/GraphQL, Workato, batch/ETL, messaging) and how EDA complements them.
- Deep knowledge of EDA concepts (Kafka topics, partitions, consumer groups, schemas, connectors, stream processing with ksqlDB/Flink).
- Practical experience with agile tools and documentation (Confluence, AsyncAPI, event catalog tooling).
- Strong product mindset, ability to evangelise technical capabilities, and excellent communication skills.
- Ability to manage stakeholder relationships, drive adoption without formal authority, and work collaboratively with architects and platforms.
- Analytical and structured, able to prioritize and manage uncertainty.
Benefits
- Invests in technology and places tech teams at the heart of digital transformation.
- Provides real impact opportunities for employees to test, innovate and build the future.
- Hybrid work policy: 3 days in office, 2 days from home.
- Extensive benefits: staff shop, company restaurant and gym, transportation reimbursement, employee discounts, and more.
- Diverse and inclusive environment, equal opportunity employer, and strong focus on employee development and mobility.
This is a great opportunity to shape the future of event‑driven architecture at a leading consumer goods company.
