Job Summary
As a Junior Vice President in our Large Cap team, you will be a Corporate Banker who is responsible for managing and growing our business in France with focus on French clients and prospects. The selected candidate will manage a broad suite of products, in close alignment and cooperation with product and global coverage partners.
Relationship responsibility is global across our network and full set of corporate banking products: Debt Capital Markets, Payments, Credit, Financing, Trade, Markets (Foreign Exchange/rates/commodities), Securities Services and Asset Management.
Job Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced banker to be based in Paris and responsibilities will include:
- Working with product and investment banking coverage bankers to pitch for new client relationships and new business with existing clients.
- Jointly with product partners, identifying and leading tailored marketing of products addressing clients' needs.
- Leading credit risk and other internal approval processes for all credit across loans and Markets exposure.
- Revenue responsibility for top line growth as well as for sound risk return metrics and KPIs set by the business.
- Being the first line of defence for continuous credit quality monitoring. Leading credit risk and other internal approval processes for loans and all counterparty exposures.
- Onboarding of target clients and presentation of the respective business and credit cases to the relevant internal partners and committees.
Required Qualifications, Capabilities and Skills
- Proven Corporate/Investment Banking experience across the French market.
- Proven ability to develop client relationships, win new business, close transactions and build networks, both internally and externally.
- In-depth knowledge of banking products.
- Risk management expertise with experience in originating credit and debt capital markets transactions.
- Proven influencing skills with a track record of managing cross-cultural environments and inter-department collaboration.
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills.
- Creative, inclusive and an innovative team player.
- Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively in presentations, expressing complex financial strategies in an organized and articulate manner.
- Must be willing to travel regionally and internationally.
- Fluent in French and English.
