Your Mission
As a Global Category Manager, you will have end-to-end responsibility for strategic and tactical sourcing within key categories, primarily steel castings, forgings, and related hydraulics components. You will shape global category strategies that support business objectives, ensure supply continuity, and drive long-term value creation.
You will manage and develop a global supplier base, lead supplier selection, negotiations, and contract management, and continuously improve performance across cost, quality, delivery, risk, and sustainability. You will actively drive cost and value initiatives such as design-to-cost, value engineering, localization, and total cost of ownership optimization, supported by market intelligence, spend analysis, and risk assessments.
You will work with engineering, operations, finance, and other stakeholders in a global, cross-functional environment. Through early supplier involvement, you will support product development and industrialization by providing technical input on materials and manufacturing processes and by enabling robust, competitive sourcing solutions.
Your mission also includes:
- Developing and executing global category strategies aligned with business and supply chain priorities
- Ensuring resilient, compliant, and sustainable sourcing solutions across international markets
- Contributing to continuous improvement by challenging existing ways of working and driving measurable results

You are a confident and experienced sourcing professional who is comfortable taking ownership, challenging viewpoints, and working in complex, international environments. You thrive in global roles where not everything is predefined and where continuous improvement is part of everyday work.
We believe you bring:
- A degree in Engineering, Metallurgy, Supply Chain, or equivalent relevant experience
- Extensive experience in strategic sourcing or category management within manufacturing or heavy industry
- Strong technical understanding of steel castings, forgings, hydraulics and related manufacturing processes
- Proven ability to lead supplier negotiations and drive measurable cost and value improvements
- Fluency both in English and French is required
