Role Description
Our client is looking for a Global BDM-Product Manager-Elastomer Rubber - Specialties Chemical, for the Group Development / Coordination department belonging to the Performance Products division of France.
You will be responsible for a portfolio of products that you will offer to group subsidiaries and agents outside Europe, mainly in Elastomer-Rubber industries.
Our client is looking for a dynamic person who is Market-orientated and takes pride on delivering a high support level to the organization.
The successful candidate will need to have tenacity to maintain this on a long-term basis. Therefore, it is important that they have the capability to use their own initiative and work independently.
The successful candidate will be expected to understand the technical nature of the raw materials/Rubber/Elastomer so that they can introduce raw materials into new market segment.
This position reports to the Deputy Development Director – Products
Keys responsibilities
- Participate in the overall management and coordination of a portfolio of products for the Group's subsidiaries and our agents. As such, you will be their main contact for commercial, technical, quality, regulatory and logistical matters.
- Develop business through technical and sales promotion action plans.
- Identify new product concepts (sustainable products & solution).
- Participate to build business development strategy.
- Manage the commercial and technical relationship with the suppliers/subcontractors for whom you are responsible.
- Elaborate, develop and then roll out new products in partnership with our suppliers (technical development, marketing tools, communication).
- Ensure internal and external reporting: sales analysis, project monitoring, competitive intelligence, market trends, etc.
- Monitor and optimize stocks and supplies for the ranges for which you are responsible.
- Participate in trade shows and other events around the world.
- Participating in the roll-out of the digital and ESG strategy.
Qualifications
- High education qualification Engineer/Master degree in chemistry, polymers, materials.
- 3 to 5 years professional experience in the elastomer industry in a technical position, ideally with a specialization in rubber.
- Knowledge of rubber formulation, processing and applications in the rubber sector, as well as your commercial skills, will make you the ideal contact for our rubber colleagues and suppliers' technicians or to support our agents with their customers.
- Curious, dynamic, rigorous, creative and have excellent interpersonal skills.
