GL Accountant – Orion Pharma Animal Health

In this role, you will work on accounting activities at our Biové production site in Arques, while also supporting monthly closing and general ledger processes across other Animal Health entities. Job DescriptionAbout your roleWe are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented GL Accountant to strengthen the Animal Health finance team. In this role, you will work on accounting activities at our Biové production site in Arques, while also supporting monthly closing and general ledger processes across other Animal Health entities. You will ensure accuracy, compliance, and provide reliable insights to controlling and business operations.This is a full-time position reporting to the Finance Manager. The role is based in Arques, France, with opportunities to collaborate closely with colleagues across Orion’s international finance teams.Your Key Responsibilities
- General Accounting & Monthly Closing
- Execute monthly closing tasks, including accruals, provisions, depreciation, and FNP/CCA.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations.
- Manage intercompany postings and reconciliations.
- Accounting Operations Monitoring
- Ensure consistency of postings across ERP modules.
- Analyze monthly account variations and resolve discrepancies.
- Tax Compliance
- Prepare standard tax declarations such as VAT, EC Sales Listings, Intrastat, and DAS2.
- Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare monthly Group reporting packages.
- Ensure adherence to internal financial policies and accounting standards.
- Audits
- Prepare documentation for internal and external audits.
- Follow up on audit requests and action items.
- Tools & Systems
- Use Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and NORP for daily accounting activities.
- Contribute to process improvement and system harmonization.
- Support to Controlling & Budgeting
- Provide analytical support during monthly closing.
- Participate in annual budget and forecast cycles.
- Reconcile accounting data used in management reporting.
- Ensure consistency between financial statements and performance indicators.

- Skilled in collaborating across functions and balancing detailed tasks with broader finance responsibilities.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- 4–7 years of experience in General Ledger accounting or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and end-to-end processes.
- Experience with ERP systems; D365 is a plus.
- Fluent in English (working language); French is a strong advantage
- Strong problem-solving skills and proactive communication.
