Position Title

GL Accountant (Fixed-term, 12 months)

Job Summary

Imerys is looking for a GL Accountant to support the financial function. The role will coordinate the Financial Service Center in Greece, supervise general accounting and related reconciliations, oversee intercompany transactions, support Italian Imerys entities with archiving and administrative activities, supervise the completeness and correct sending of electronic invoices, manage VAT, Conai and Intrastat submissions, and participate in IT projects for SAP 4HANA implementation and customization.

Responsibilities

• Daily coordination of the Financial Service Center (in Greece) and supervision of general accounting and related reconciliations/balances;
• Supervision of intercompany transactions;
• Support to all Italian Imerys entities in archiving and administrative activities;
• Supervision of the completeness and correct sending of electronic invoice;
• VAT, Conai and Intrastat submission;
• Participation to IT projects for the implementation and customization of SAP 4HANA.

Qualifications

• Accounting diploma or degree in economics;
• Experience in the role of at least 2–3 years in modernly structured companies;
• Fluent in Italian and English, written and spoken; French is a plus;
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages;
• Knowledge of SAP is mandatory; JDE is a plus.
