Responsibilities
- Act as geotechnical technical focal point / lead, ensuring QA/QC of geotechnical deliverables and producing geotechnical inputs to relevant packages
- Manage interfaces with relevant packages, provide soil data and geotechnical inputs for foundation and cable design, and support certification of soil data through interactions with the project certification body
- When required, lead the geoscience workstreams for a bid or an offshore wind project (floating & bottom-fixed), from both technical and project management perspectives, including budget, schedule, risk, and procurement inputs
- Perform quality control of geotechnical datasets and interpret survey data
- Review technical reports and provide technical guidance
- Prepare all technical documentation relevant to the roadmap: SOW, technical requirements, etc.
- Support certification activities for geoscience data
- Supervise geotechnical survey operations
- Interface with relevant packages on foundation/anchor design, and scope external conceptual design and feasibility studies
- Contribute to, and where appropriate lead, technical topics related to marine geotechnics
- Define geoscience/UXO roadmaps for projects pre- and post-bid
- Define associated geoscience budgets and schedules
- Execute roadmap items from RFQ stage to deliverable certification: RFQ management, contract management, etc.
- Provide documentation (site conditions, Design Basis Part A, etc.) and information for foundation and cable design
- Provide geotechnical inputs to internal and external stakeholders (cable/foundation package leads, design contractors, certification bodies)
- Identify and manage geotechnical risks associated with offshore wind projects and propose mitigation measures to minimize potential impacts on safety, design, installation, and reliability
- Work closely with design engineers to integrate geotechnical constraints into foundation design and ensure compatibility with offshore wind turbines
- Participate in regulatory meetings, stakeholder meetings, and community outreach initiatives
- Share experience with the team and contribute to strong technical discussions across projects

- Proficient written and spoken English, including the ability to work with technical documentation and international stakeholders
- 5+ years of practical experience in geotechnical engineering for offshore wind projects
- Experience in bottom-fixed projects is required; experience in floating offshore wind and anchor design is an advantage
- Knowledge and experience of offshore geotechnical survey activities: RFQ processes, contractors, equipment, laboratory testing, etc.
- Experience integrating datasets and familiarity with international and local standards
- Project management skills and experience managing large site investigation and interpretation projects
- Experience integrating geophysical and geotechnical data, producing geotechnical interpretative reports, using ground models, and maintaining geohazard registers
- Knowledge of offshore design codes and industry best practices
- The following are advantages:
- Experience from concept to detailed offshore foundation/anchor design
- Field experience in marine site investigations
- Knowledge and practical experience with GIS systems
